Hermione walked the emply halls after most of her classes. "Stupid, foolish, unbelievable, " She continued cursing herself, making her way back to one of the classrooms. This is definitely not how the prideful, highly educated redhead wanted to spend her valuable time on the first day of classes. She had to retrieve a book bag that she had left earlier that held all of her notes on spell work.

"I wish not to see you back here again Mr malfoy!" Hermione heard Professor Minerva McGonagall say from down the hall.

She did her best to duck in a doorframe, afraid that they would see her. She tried to open the door, but it were locked. She didn't understand why she were hiding? She knew she did nothing wrong, and couldn't possibly get in trouble for overheating a open discussion? but still... She hid.

"This is ridiculous behavior!" The professor continued as she felt she were a broken record with this young man "And On your first day? This is beneath you, and the entire school!"

Hermione stuck her head out in amusement as she watched McGonagall hand it to him. Even though he toward over her in hight, somehow in that moment she looked larger then life, and Malfoy was simply a ant under her boot. She let out a unintentional giggle, and both of their heads whipped around to the sound it had came from, Her! "Merlin!" She silently cursed as she hid herself once again, hoping to the gods they hadn't spotted her.

The professor cleared her throat as she turned her head back to her
ill behaved student. "Not again Mr Malfoy," She warned. "Do I make myself clear?" She asked, although knowing good and well that this would not be the last time she'd have this type of conversation with him.

Draco swallowed, "Crystal."

She looked him over once more, deciding that she was satisfied with his answer, then she waved him off. "Very good then, run along." She dismissed Draco, then tuned on her heels and headed for her office.

Hermione held her breath as she could hear his footsteps coming her way. How in the Devils name did she get herself into such situations?

Draco smiled as he could practically hear the person's heart ponding from behind the doorframe. "Do you enjoy eavesdropping, you maggot!? He cursed as he slid inside the doorframe, right in front of her.

He were dumbfounded to find Hermione Granger standing before him, clenching her books to her chest tightly. Her curly, brown hair had grown since the war, as it fell far past her shoulders. Her brown eyes were widened up at him in shock from his outburst.

Draco figured from the laughter that it was surly Blaise, or Pansy who had come to gloat. After all he had been the only one to get caught in their latest scheme. But Granger? What was she even doing here?

Hermione did her best to collect herself, standing tall under his angered gaze. "If that's so Malfoy, then we are related, you cockroach!" She cursed, as she tried to back away from him, but the locked door behind her stopped her from doing so.

One hand instinctively went down to grab her wand, and that caused Him to look her over curiously. Was she actually afraid of him? The golden trio didn't seem to be scared of anything, least of all him. "Mind your own business next time Granger." He said, as he stepped aside to gave her space to move around him, then back out towards the hall. He watched her movements as she walked past him, but froze before she exited the hiding spot. Draco did a double take. Was she mad? Why wasn't she leaving? "What's the bloody matter with..." he started, but she swiftly turned around, then placed a hand over his mouth to silence him.

He snatched her tiny, muggel hand away from him with disgust.

"There is someone out there you idot," she whispered, as she ripped her wrist out of his grasp.

He looked at the redhead as if she were a escaped mental patient "The great Hermione Granger has become a paranoid, babbling lonny" Draco said as he effortlessly turned her back to her earlier position against the wall, so that he may search the hall. To his own surprise however a mysterious hooded figure came into view, and walked their way. One that he hadn't recognize as a student, or teacher. "Who is that?" He asked in curiosity, not to Hermione, but rather himself as he Hid once again.

Hermione still shot him death glares from his previous comment. "Paranoid, babbling lonny?" She thought his comment over. If she had really become that way, it would be the fault of this baboon that stood in front of her! He never had to fear evil because he had always been apart of it! Of course, she thought. "What are you, and your dimwitted friends up to this time?" She accused.

He peered down at her, obviously annoyed. "This isn't our doing." He said truthfully. "Quite the detective you are Granger" He mocked.

She decided that his comments would have no effect on her, at least not now in this dire situation. Hermione looked him over one last time before she let out let out a frustrated breath. To her Draco Malfoy were many things, but a lier wasn't one of them. He took to much pride in the bullying of others to denie his doings.

The pare both exchanged looks. If it were not a student, teacher or a friend of Draco's helping him with his latest scheme, then who in Merlin was it? Hermione knew that this had everything to do with the odd feeling she had on the train. "Why can't it ever be just a normal year!" She whispered to herself.

They both peeked out their heads to find the mysterious figure turning down a hallway. Hermione immediately went for her wand as she exited the large door frame, and entered the hallway. She paused, as she pondered on weather she should go get Harry, but decided that Hogwarts  mysterious guest could be long gone by then. She turned around to find that Draco was still in the door frame, out of view. She rolled her eyes at him as she began to walk alone, and straight towards the unknown danger.

Draco watched her red hair sway from side-to-side as she walked away,  slowly disappearing from the hallway.  Eventually Draco's curiosity got the better of him, and he followed her movements, Jumping out into the hallway to catch up to her.
