"Muggle reporting's alerted the ministry of a car flying over London." Hermione answered as She ungracefully climbed back into the back seat before Her tone became one of Authority as she straightened her dress shirt. "We were sent to handle the situation." She lied, finding it rather unsettling how easy it was becoming.

"We are toast!" Ron cursed from the driver's seat as he continued following the train from above.

"How were they not expelled for this?" Draco asked, leaning in for only Hermione to hear. "I would have been expelled for this." He continued, his tone growing jealous.

She rolled her eyes at him. This is not the time for his selfish, jealousy. "We have bigger problems."

Harry turned to face the two Wizards that currently occupied Ron's backseat with a questionable look, as if asking them if they were in fact "toast."

"I, ahh.. That decision comes from your schools professors, not the ministry." Hermione spoke meeting the boys baby blue eyes.

"I'm sure there will be consequence." Draco butted in, satisfied at the thought of his arch enemy, "the chosen one" being on the professor's cross hairs for a change. He paused in his amusement as Hermione shot him a hatefilled look.

Was it petty of him to take joy in a part of his past that has long since over? Maybe. Did he care? Absolutely not.

Hermonie tore her eyes from the blonde twat beside her. Draco had very little knowledge of how much the golden trio actually got in to trouble, besides the times he bad been the couse.  They Broke the rules many times, even if it was meant at good intention.

Ron looked on the verge of tears as he held the steering wheel tightly. "Hermione will be so angry" He whispered to Harry. He knew that She would of rather had them die then face expulsion.

It was darker now and Hermione appeared so on edge that even Draco leaned over to ask her why she was nervously looking out the window like her life depended on it.

Her brown eyes were as wide as could be as she watched the castle come into view
"Malfoy, brace yourself" She whispered  remembering with full detail how horrified Ron and Harry had been when explaining to her what had happened.

They had accidentally crashed the flying Ford Anglia into The Whomping Willow, and the tree severely dented and smashed the car before it could reverse out of range of the swinging branches

The tree is a very valuable, very violent tree planted alone in the middle of the school grounds.
Hermione had later learned, years after hearing of Harry's & Ron's fascinating tail that It was planted the same year that Lupin arrived at Hogwarts in 1971 to disguise the opening to a secret passage from Hogwarts to the Shrieking Shack. Lupin would go through a hole in the Willow’s roots every month and through a tunnel to transform into a werewolf in the Shack where he couldn’t hurt anyone. The Willow was so dangerous that it kept other people from entering the passage and encountering the werewolf.

No one was ever told what the Willow was really for. What people did know was that it would attack anyone, or anything that came within reach of its branches. Harry’s Nimbus 2000 broomstick once sailed into the Willow and was smashed to bits.

Lupin later told Harry that people used to play a game, trying to get near enough to touch the trunk. In the end, a boy called Davey Gudgeon nearly lost an eye, and were forbidden to go near it. "No broomstick would have a chance” He tried to reassure, but to no avail.
