"Shaniya Rose! Get up you're late!" "Who cares?!" I got dressed in my usual clothes. Ripped jeans, 'trouble' Crop top and a flannel around my waste. I brushed my hair and teeth. "Bye mom I'm leaving." I got on my longboard and rode to school to save gas I guess. It was first day of Junior year and I already regretted it. I had one thing to look forward to. Alec. Granted we had our disagreements sometimes, I still love him. It's been a year since we got together. Shits gone up and down with us. We've broken up a few times.. And even in those times, I still loved him.

There she was.. The beautifulest girl I've ever known. It's been 6 years since we met.. And I've been in love with her since then.. "Bro. You're staring." "Uh.. Yeah sorry.. I got off my board and seen Alec. I couldn't help but run to him.. I haven't seen him all summer. "I missed you." "I know me too.." He kissed my forehead an put me down. I seen Ashton but I couldn't find Jaylynn. "Hey Ash, where Jay..?" "Uh I don't know.. I think she's inside.." "Thanks.." I walked inside with Alec and went looking for Jaylynn. And sure enough she was inside with Skyla. "Awe i missed you guys." The bell rang for first hour. I kissed Alec and walked inside and sat at my desk. "Niya.. Have you seen my brother..?" "No why..?" "He hasn't been home in 3 days.." "Try Mikes or Luke's. He's always there."

I got on my board and went home. I seen Ashton out side playing his drums.. I could tell he's been down lately.. I decided to get my bandana and drum sticks. He has 2 drum kits.. One for me, one for him. I climbed out my window and jumped his fence. "Got room for another one..?" I twiddled my drum sticks. "Always.." We played for a while, until his sister got home. "Jay, you ready.?" "Always" "Bye Ash.. I'll see you tomorrow.."

She's always found a way to make me smile.. Except when she's with Alec.. He treats her so bad and she doesn't even care.. He's used her so many times and she's never noticed.. I just wish there was something I could do.. But as always.. I'm left in the dust.. I decided to go to Luke's and rehearse for a while.. I seen Alec and Shaniya outside at the skatepark. He was holding and kissing her the way I should've been.. I felt a single tear roll down my cheek.
