I'm on A writing spree; update city!
Although this is a fairly short chapter rip.
Draco sat with his knees to his chest and the cloak pulled tightly around his frame; staring into the water.
It was quiet in the forest- almost too quiet for a forest that was filled with deadly monsters.
He was cold, and although the cloak did help warm him, he still shivered. That water is fucking cold, let me tell you.
He was sat there for atleast half an hour, before he heard a twig snap behind him.
"Back already, vampire boy?" He called out.
He didn't receive a response.
Draco turned to look behind him, his eyes instantly landing on an overly large wolf.
A werewolf.
Draco felt himself pale, and his throat went dry. He felt his heart rate quicken in fear.
He stayed stock still as the werewolf began to slowly pace, never moving his gaze off of Draco.
It let out a low snarl, which caused Draco to jump to his feet and pull out his silver dagger; forgetting he was ever cold.
The werewolves mouth curled in an attempt to scare Draco; his teeth showing; and boy did it work.
Draco aimed his dagger at the wolf, who swiped his hand at Draco's; knocking the blade out of his hand and leaving a nasty cut, causing Draco to help and fall back in surprise, crawling back as far as he could from the werewolf before he got to the edge of the pond.
To distract it, he splashed water in the werewolves face; but that only made it angrier. And eventually Draco was backing himself into the water; fear preventing him from running- he wasn't a good swimmer, anyway, it would do him no good.
Just before the werewolf pounced at him, though, a figure dashed between him and the werewolf; blocking Draco from harm.
They wore the same cloak as the vampire; it was Harry Potter.
The werewolf snarled, "What's this?" It rasped, catching Draco by surprise. It can talk? "A vampire protecting a human? I never thought I'd see the day."
Harry scowled at it, "well, today's the day you're seeing, so back off, Lincoln."
'Lincoln' growled, "You can't hurt me, Potter. Your den and my pack have a deal. So move."
"You can't hurt me either. And in order to get this human, you'll have no choice but to." Harry retort.
Drool dripped from Lincoln's mouth, "My pack needs food. I'll hurt you if I must."
"That sounds like a you problem."
Lincoln jolted to the side of Harry at incredible speed- but Harry grabbed Lincoln by the back of his neck and threw him back.
The vampires arm got a first degree burn from exposure to the sun, but he ignored it and stood his ground.
Lincoln growled, about to pounce again, but thought better of it, and instead ran off into the woods.
Harry stayed facing the woods for a minute, making sure the werewolf didn't return. Once he was satisfied, he turned to Draco.
"You're not going to dry off sitting in water, you know."
"Oh, shut up, smart ass," Draco scoffed, standing up; his clothes dripping. "I fell in."
Harry pulled the clothes out from under his cloak, "here, change into these." He ordered, afterwards turning around to give Draco privacy.
After Draco finished changing, Harry turned around, "here, let me see the cut." He said.
Draco hesitantly put his wounded hand into Harry's; there were three deep gashes that diagonally went from draco's thumb to the other side of his wrist.
Harry closed his eyes and waved his other hand over draco's multiple times, until eventually the gashes were nothing but pink scars.
Draco looked at his hand in amazement, before looking over to Harry, "how did you...-?"
"Every vampire has a particular ability." He cut Draco off. "Mine happens to be healing."
Draco's eyes dropped to Harry's burn, "what about-"
"I can't heal myself. Really, it's useless unless you care about someone. Ah- don't think I care about you, water boy, either." A faint blush tinted Harry's cheeks, but Draco didn't notice it, he merely rolled his eyes.
"Whatever, Vampire boy." Draco responded. "Does every vampire have that type of strength?"
Harry tilted his head in confusion.
"You literally just threw a werewolf as if it were nothing."
"That's because it was. Are humans not that strong?"
"No."
"How are they killing us off, then?"
Draco looked back to the spot where the werewolf landed, before looking back at Harry. "I haven't the slightest clue."
