So, Draco didn't wait.
No, He got far too restless, and his anxiety told him to get out of the house before he was caught.
And so, that he did.
It wasn't raining as bad, and Draco stole one of Harry's cloaks to keep himself dry... he also left him a letter... he'd be fine. He just had to find his way to the nearest village... simple.
But, the rain was still thick, and, because of the rain mixed with the fog, Draco could barely see his hand infront of his face.
He regretted leaving the mansion not long after he found himself lost.
He didn't have a plan, he didn't have a place to sleep, he only had a dagger to defend himself... he was an idiot.
And he knew that.
He hoped that the rain masked his scent... that no other being could find him.
He knew it was a hopeless wish, though.
There was no hope in getting back to the mansion in this weather- or anywhere for thay matter- so instead, he found a tree and sat under it. He'd wait. The rain will soon clear, and He'd find his way back to the mansion.
He only hoped.
--
Harry yawned and stretched, afterwards turning his head.
But... something was missing.
Draco.
He sat up with a start, panic rising to his chest. Did he leave? No- surely he wasn't that stupid- right?
Harry looked out the window- it seemed to be raining even harder than before.
The vampire quickly got out of bed, before noticing a piece of parchment placed on top of his book.
Thank you for helping me.
I decided to leave incase someone caught me at your mansion. Thank you for allowing me in your home, Vampire boy. I hope to someday repay you.
Until then, I've gone south, I think that's where the Stormwater reside, I'm sure they'll help me find a place to say.
Thank you again.

Harry ran a hand through his hair, wow, he thought, this human is truly stupid.
He put the letter down and threw his cloak over himself, slipped on his boots, and ran outside- it was fucking freezing, let me tell you.
And that was coming from a vampire- a being with a sort of natural heater.
The rain came down so fast and hard, you couldn't hear anything except for the rain hitting the ground. You couldn't see two feet infront of you.
I've come to the conclusion that Draco is an absolute idiot, and barely deserves me rescuing him.
Nonetheless, Harry set off south, calling Draco's name as loud as he could.
He traveled atleast twenty minutes before he picked up on the scent of fear- the scent of Draco.
He paused for a beat, before heading in the direction the scent was strongest.
"Draco?!" Harry called over the rain.
No answer.
"Draco?!" He called out, once again, receiving no answer.
It wasn't long after his last call did he spot a figure curled under a tree.
"Draco!" Harry called, rushing towards said figure.
And, it was, Indeed, Draco.
He was huddled with his knees to his chest, gripping Harry's cloak tightly around his shaking frame.
Harry bent down infront of Draco- his lips were blue and teeth chattering.
Draco looked up at the new presence- "h-Harry-" Draco smiled weakly, "I'm kinda dumb,"
"You realize you left a warm house, in Autumn, during a rainstorm?" Harry asked, taking off his own cloak and placing it around Draco, afterwards cupping Draco's face.
Draco's lips slowly turned from blue to a light pink- back to their original colour- and slowly his body stopped shaking, and his teeth stopped chattering.
"How did you...-?"
"Every vampire has an internal heater- sort of. Most vampires can only use it on themselves, but considering I'm a healer, I can also transfer my heat to others. Anyways. Get up, we're bringing you back home."
Draco nodded and stood with Harry, following him back to the mansion.
"How did you find me?" Draco asked over the rain.
"Your scent."
"Of?"
"Fear."
•
As soon as they got back to the mansion, Harry sat Draco infront if the fire after changing him in a new set of clothes, and draped a duvet over him in an attempt to warm him further- as, the heat transfer didn't last long, And Draco quickly became cold again.
"Thank you," Draco said quietly.
Harry slipped on a dry shirt for the second time that day, "for what? Going to find you?"
Draco nodded slowly, "that, And bringing me into your home. Caring, I guess is the word I'm looking for."
"Not a problem. But you're still idiotic for going out in that weather and expecting to get yourself anywhere. If you wanted to leave you could've just told me, we could've waited for the rain to clear and I could've brought you to the nearest village." Harry explained, crouching next to Draco.
"That would be nice, except I have no money, and I have no connections in any villages- I, um, also don't think they'd let me in any villages, anyway." Draco looked down to the side after his last sentence, almost ashamed.
"Why not?" Harry asked, switching from crouching to sitting now.
Draco gave Harry a side glance. "Turns out I am homosexual- it also turns out vampires are more accepting than humans," Draco laughed without any humour.
"I knew this, but what happened for you to come to this conclusion?" Harry asked.
Draco sighed, "my family is rich. Powerful. They somehow found out I had a boyfriend, And I got chased out of the village by everyone- including said boyfriend. Because my family is rich and powerful, they probably informed the nearest villages as to who and what I am. I'd be chased out of every village I go to."
"Oh," Harry said quietly. "Well, that sucks. But you can always stay here."
"No, I can't. Once again; human," Draco gestured to himself.
"Once again, vampires couldn't give less a fuck. Unless you're a vampire slayer."
Draco looked away- his entire family are Vampire slayer's, if this household learnt his last name, he'd be dead.
He couldn't stay here.
No matter how accepting Harry's family is.
