Draco awoke to a skull splitting migraine. He groaned in pain and slowly split his eyes opened; only to close them immediately after at the harsh sun shining through the blinds.
Sun...? But...
He jolted up, panic flooding him. If there's sun in here, then Harry...
His thoughts trailed off when he saw Harry sitting in a slumped position at the end of the bed; his head bowed. He was away from the sunlight, but why were the blinds opened?
"You should've waited." Harry finally spoke, causing Draco to jump.
Draco was confused at first, before memories flooded him. He looked down at his forearm. A bandage was wrapped around the spot that Luna bit him. Blood had seeped through the bandaging, though; staining it red.
Draco brushed his fingers over the bandage -- when suddenly a memory surfaced.
"What the hell did you do?!" Harry yelled.
Draco winced at the noise. Where am I? He thought to himself.
He slowly opened his eyes, but it was useless. His vision was too blurred to make out anyone -- everyone just looked like blobs of colour. He saw a blob crouch down next to him, and felt a soft hand brush over his forehead.
"She was dying, and he was sick of waiting," he heard a familiar voice reply.
Hermione? Yes.
"I was almost here! I heard the screams!" Harry cried. "You should have waited!"
Draco could hear the pain in his voice -- he sounded desperate.
"We should've, but we didn't." Another voice stated.
Ginny.
Draco felt a strong pair of arms lift him from the floor, "get out," the voice belonging to the arms ordered. Draco felt the hum of his chest. It was Harry.
"Harry, let us help--"
"No. I'll tend to him. You need to leave."
Draco gasped when he was pulled back into reality. He rubbed his head.
Draco tore the covers off, suddenly very hot. He rolled himself out of bed and stumbled towards the washroom.
He nearly fell, and would've fallen if he hadn't of gripped onto the doorframe to the bathroom. He heard Harry stand.
"You shouldn't be moving. You lost a lot of blood." Harry commented.
Draco shrugged him off and stumbled to the sink and looked into the mirror
He was significantly paler than usual, and beads of sweat dripped from his forehead. Even from all the sleep he's gotten, dark circles were cast under his eyes.
He scowled at his reflection before looking back down at the bandages.
He tore them off.
Purple veins protruded from the red bite mark. Draco felt a pang of fear hit him.
"Did she... did she poison me?" He stuttered.
"No, you're reacting like a normal person when being bit but not poisoned." Harry replied.
Draco jammed his eyes shut before reopening them. Things were moving when they weren't supposed to be.
He fell back; falling on to the toilet seat.
He closed his eyes again; everything was too bright.
He heard Harry rummaging in the cupboards, before feeling his hand lift Draco's arm. Draco opened his eyes to see Harry re-bandaging his arm.
"I feel nauseous," Draco commented.
Harry nodded.
Draco groaned and leaned back.
"Are you regretting anything?" Harry asked dryly.
"No."
Harry put a halt in his bandaging and looked up at Draco, "Draco, you could've died."
"I had a higher risk of dying if we waited any longer." Draco stated.
He felt Harry squeeze his arm, before he began wrapping the bandage again, "you're insufferable." Harry uttered.
Draco opened his eyes again and looked up at the ceiling, "how long was I asleep for?"
"Three days."
Draco's eyes widened as he shot up; sitting straight, "that means...-"
"Yes, the plan goes through in two more days. You're not going." Harry stated firmly.
Draco scoffed, "who are you to tell me whether or not I'm going?"
Harry raised a brow and tied a knot in the bandages, standing to his feet, "walk to the bed without any form of support." He ordered.
Draco looked through the doorway, I'm not going to make it, he thought as he stood to his feet, immediately going under a dizzy spell.
He fell back onto the toilet seat.
"Exactly." Harry said, pulling Draco to his feet.
"I have to be there."
Harry rolled his eyes, "no, you don't."
He lead Draco out of the bathroom and lifted him onto the bed. He went to pull the covers back over Draco, when suddenly he yelped and jerked his hand away from him as soon as it hit the sun.
"Why are the blinds opened?" Draco asked, closing them.
"Sunlight helps humans heal from vampire bites." Harry replied.
Draco nodded, "How's Luna?" He inquired.
Harry looked away, "I wouldn't know."
"What does that mean?"
"I haven't spoken to them since the incident." Harry brushed it off. "I was taking care of you."
"Harry, go see your cousins." Draco ordered sternly. "They're your family. The last of your family."
"You're more important right now." Harry stated.
Draco frowned, "no. Go see them. I'll be fine."
Harry sighed and averted his eyes as he weighed his options.
"Go." Draco demanded.
Harry finally stood to his feet, "fine. Get some rest. I'll be back shortly." He stated.
Harry grabbed Draco's hand and brushed his lips against his knuckles; causing a jolt of electricity to shoot up Drsco's arm. Draco felt his cheeks heat at the notion.
"Stop stalling," Draco ordered, flustered.
"Okay, okay," Harry stood up straight and threw on his cloak.
He lingered at the doorway for a second before exiting the cabin.
Draco sighed and leaned back into the mountain of pillows behind him. He almost fell asleep, too, if it weren't for someone knocking on the door.
Draco felt his gut twist, who would be knocking on the door? Did Harry lock it?
He almost didn't want to open it, but he decided against it. He stumbled towards the front door and cracked it opened; his heart immediately plummeting.
"Draco, dear. Long time no see," a shrill voice spoke.
Draco backed away from the door, fear taking over his body, "Bellatrix?"
