"Hey. Sorry that I couldn't hang out yesterday. Do you wanna come over?" Rory texts me. "It's okay. And sure, just give me like 45 minutes :)" I respond and start rolling down the sidewalk to Norah's house.
I get to her house and put the picture I drew of her in the mailbox before turning around and heading to Rory's house. "Hey, Wheels" Rory smiles, looking up at me from where she's sitting in the grass.
"Hey" I giggle and look back at her. "May I join you?" I ask and smile. "Of course" Rory says and gets up, picking me up and setting me in the grass. "Thank you" I smile and kiss her cheek.
"You're welcome" Rory says and kisses my cheek back. "How was your appointment yesterday?" I ask, looking at her. "I was alright. I got my new inhaler" She says and takes it out of her pocket, showing it to me.
"That's good" I say and smile. Rory smiles back and lays in the grass, gently pulling me down with her. I giggle and lay my head on her shoulder, looking at her. "I missed you yesterday" Rory says and kisses my cheek.
"I missed you too" I say and smile, kissing her cheek back. Rory smiles and wraps her arms around me, sighing softly. I look at her and bite my lip, smiling. "What are you smiling about?" Rory asks and giggles, looking back at me.
"Nothin', you're just..." I get cut off when it starts pouring down rain. Rory quickly picks me up and runs us inside, setting me on the couch. "I'm gonna go get your chair and then we will both change" She says and rubs outside to get my chair.
Rory comes back and dries my chair, carrying me to her room so we can change. She hands me pajama pants and a t-shirt then goes into the bathroom to change.
I change and then grab my phone to see who texted me. "This is beautiful! Thank you so much, Marley <3" Norah texted me. "You're welcome! I'm glad you like it <3" I respond, smiling.
"Who ya textin'?" Rory asks, laying down next to me. "A girl named Norah. We met at school yesterday" I say and put my phone, looking at her. "Is she cute?" Rory asks and giggles, looking back at me.
"Yes, but you're cuter" I say and smile, kissing Rory's cheek. "Awe, thank you" She says and smiles, kissing my nose. I giggle and roll onto my side, laying my arm across Rory's stomach.
Rory smiles and wraps her arms around me, playing with my hair. I smile and lay my head on her chest, closing my eyes. Rory kisses my forehead and keeps playing with my hair.
"You are so sweet" I whisper, sighing softly. "Thank you" Rory whispers back and gently pulls me closer, pulling the blanket over us. I smile and grab her hand, intertwining our fingers.
