My phone goes off at 5 A.M. so I groan and sit up, seeing who texted me. I smile when I see Rory's name, opening her text. "How do you get ready for school? Like getting in your chair and stuff" Rory asked.
I giggle softly and text her back "I set my clothes on my bed at night so that I can get myself dressed in the morning, then my brother puts me in my chair so I can go take care of everything in the bathroom, then we have breakfast. Why?".
"Can I come help you instead? You can say no. I feel weird asking... lol" She responds. I bite my lip and respond after a second "Sure :) I'll have Ben unlock the door for you".
I have Ben unlock the door then I change into my Panic! At The Disco t-shirt and skinny jeans. I hear a light knock on my door and I smile. "Come in" I say.
"Hey" Rory says with a smile when she comes in, shutting the door behind her. "Hey" I smile back and put my boots on. "Cool guitar" She smiles and sits next to me.
"Thank you" I giggle. "Shouldn't we be getting ready for school?" I look at her. "Nah. It's only 5:15, we don't even need to leave here until 7:00" Rory giggles, looking back at me.
"What are we gonna do for the next hour then?" I ask, smiling at her. "Talk?" She shrugs, leaning back on my bed. "Okay" I giggle and do the same.
"Your bed-head is really cute" Rory says and smiles at me. "Thank you" I smile shyly and bite my lip. "You're welcome" She giggles and plays with my hair.
I giggle and slightly lean into her touch, looking at her. "So, what do you wanna talk about?" I ask. "Hmmm. Tell me about your family" Rory smiles.
"Okay. My brother, Ben, is in his first year of online college for graphic design. My dad is a firefighter. And my grandma works with special education kids" I smile back.
"What about your mom?" She asks, looking at me. "She, um... She died when I was six... In the same accident that paralyzed me..." I say quietly and look away.
"I'm so sorry, Marley..." Rory whispers and wraps her arms around me, rubbing my back. I sigh and hug her back, smiling weakly. "It's okay" I whisper.
She softly kisses my cheek and grabs my hand, looking at me. I smile shyly and look up at her, intertwining our fingers. "We should probably go eat breakfast" Rory says and lets go of my hand.
"Yeah" I nod and sit up, biting my lip. Rory gets up and walks over to my side of the bed. "So, do I just go under your knees and around your back?" She asks, biting her lip.
"As long as you don't drop me, you can pick me up however you want" I say and giggle softly. "Okay" She giggles and carefully picks me up. I smile and wrap my arms around her neck, holding onto her.
She holds me for a minute then smiles shyly, putting me in my chair. "Thank you" I say and smile, rolling to the bathroom. Rory smiles and follows me. I smile at her through the mirror and do my hair, putting on black lipstick.
"You look hot" Rory says and smiles, wheeling me to the kitchen. "Thank you" I say and blush, looking down. She giggles and shakes her head. "What do you want for breakfast?" She asks.
I shrug "I think we have toaster strudel in the freezer" I look at her. She smiles and makes toaster strudel for both of us, sitting next to me. I smile and take a bite, thanking her.
After we eat breakfast Rory washes the dishes and I get my book bag from my room. "Want a ride again?" I ask Rory when we get outside. "Sure" She giggles and sits on my lap, wrapping her arm around my neck.
I smile and roll us down the sidewalk to school. "Wat me to get up before we go in?" She asks, looking at me. "Your choice" I smile, looking back at her. She smiles and gets up, pushing my chair for me.
***After school***
"Do you wanna come to my house tonight?" Rory asks, looking at me while I get my stuff out of my locker. "Sure, sounds fun" I say and smile, looking at Rory. "Awesome" She smiles back at me.
