The next day at work isn't much better. Far from better.

I barely slept a wink last night. Only for about three hours max. I completely lost track of time. Half my mind was telling me to get my shit done, and the other was begging for me to pick up the phone to call Niall. What for? I don't even know. I just want to know what the hell is going on with him and where he went to last night, and who called him up to make him leave half way like that.

Eventually, I wasted more time on contemplating than actually doing my work. And in the end, I didn't even call him.

"Wow. Wasn't he a dick." Rayna mumbles as we watch our client make his way out of the cafe just down the road from our studio that we held our quick meeting at.

I chuckle softly, nodding in agreement, before taking a sip from my coffee which has unfortunately already turned cold.

"We really should be used to it by now." I say with a half smile and she hums.

"By the way, Paula asked me to tell you that there's some management problem going on in the outlet down King's Road and they want you to check it out." Rayna tells me, and I tried not to roll my eyes.

"What kind?" I ask.

"Some employee slacking or some sort." She tells me and I nod.

"And the manager can't handle it?" I quirk an eyebrow and she simply shrugs.

"You have to check with Paula on that." I release a sigh, nodding.

"I'll go down to the store tomorrow or something, but I gotta check with Anna when are my free timings first."

"Theo stop running!" I hear someone say before I feel a rather strong nudge at my legs, making me jump in shock slightly.

"Hawwy!!" A familiar voice calls, causing a large grin to spread on my cheeks as I eye the young boy who's tugging excitedly on my pants.

"Hey buddy." I grin, before leaving my chair and squatting down to his height.

"I'm gonna head back to the studio first, yeah? I'll see you back there in a bit." Rayna tells me as she gathers up her things. I nod, giving her a small smile before turning my attention back to the jolly, adorable four year old.

"What are you doing here, bud?" I ask, ruffling up his hair slightly.

"We were playing at the playground Uncle Ni brought me the other time." He tells me with a bright smile.

"Yeah? Was it fun?" I ask and he nods excitedly.

"I fell down the slide though." He gives a little pout, before pointing to his knee which has a pretty nasty scratch.
