I lie in bed next to Harry, unable to fall asleep. I would close my eyes, on the verge of slipping into my dreams, only for my thoughts to drag me back to reality. I'm scared. I'm literally terrified. Leo is going to call me any second to get my answer. And I don't have an answer.

I curl myself up further into Harry's gentle hold, hoping that the feeling of being in his arms would calm my racing mind. Unfortunately, it doesn't. In fact, staying in Harry's arms only makes me feel even worse about myself.

I spot my phone silently lighting up on my bedside table. I sit myself up slightly, to see the name I hate to see the most flashing across my screen. Leo. Fuck. Talk about punctuality.

I grunt in annoyance, but gently pry Harry's hold off of me. I reach for my phone, before sneaking out of the room in silence.

I unwillingly slide my thumb across my cracked phone screen, putting the phone to my ear, immediately being met with loud laughter and chatter on the other side.

"I was beginning to think you fell asleep or something." He says with a soft chuckle. I roll my eyes in annoyance, heading down to Harry's kitchen so as not to wake him up with all the talking.

"So? What's your answer? Do we have a deal?" He queries.

"I have a proposition." I say instead, as confidently as possible.

"Yeah?" He sneers, which only adds fuel to my anger. "What's that?" He asks, but the whole damn world knows he won't even listen to a word I say. But, no harm trying, right?

"I won't call the cops on you guys. I'd traffic those drugs over to Paris for you. And I'd work for you guys again. Any amount you want, and anywhere you want me to. You don't even have to pay me. I just want you to leave Harry alone." He chuckles darkly.

"That sounds boring." He taunts. "It's no fun if it's easy on you. You see, Niall, money isn't the problem. We have truck loads of money. Working for us is easy. Just do as you're told, job done, blah blah blah. But you know us, we always like a little bit of challenge. And with you simply working for us, that isn't a very fair deal is it? This is 40 million dollars we're talking about." Every word of his stung, fuelling the anger that's burning inside of me.

"Then I'd work until the 40 million adds up." I offer.

"Nah." He says nonchalantly. I don't have to see it, but I know that my knuckles are turning white from clenching my fist too hard.

"You just want me to suffer, don't you?" I speak through clenched teeth. "Do you get some kick out of ruining people's lives or something?" I spit harshly.

He chuckles humourlessly. "You know us so well, don't you Niall?" He coos tauntingly and I can feel the burning rage in me, about to explode. "But there's something you should know about us as well. And that is, we always get what we want, and things always go our way. So what I would like to propose is, ditch that stupid idea of yours and just stick to our deal."

Instead of replying him, I'm chuckling. Chuckling loud and coldly, obviously pissing him off further.

"I don't think you're in a position to be laughing." He snaps.
