Loki was uneasy for the next few days. He could see Thor's friends give him dirty looks whenever he passed them by. He knew that they blamed him for Thor's banishment, but they could not prove it. Loki would just stonily stare at them and continue on to Sigyn, who knew most of the truth. His troubled mind could not let go of the strange thing that had occurred in Jötunheim, for he had no idea of what it meant. Sigyn would not have been able to explain it to him. It took her a couple years to fully understand what was going on around the universe. This was something beyond his own extensive knowledge.

Sigyn always gave him the sweetest smiles whenever she was around him. She could detect that something was bothering him immensely, but she did not pester him about it. Loki was to come to her when he was ready. He still could not believe that after two years, he was still the luckiest man in all of Asgard. Loki still loved Sigyn more than ever, and as the months went by, she became an expert on his emotions and actions. Even his own mother could not always notice the things Sigyn saw. It was so remarkable.

It felt unusual to be in the palace without Thor making so much ruckus. Loki was used to Thor's loud, obnoxious behavior since they were both very little, and now his absence left some sort of hole in his life. Of course, Loki was never going to reveal this to anyone. It would be so embarrassing to admit that he missed his brother. Loki had worked so hard to get rid of Thor, and it was far too late to change his mind. Now Loki had to just go through with whatever happened to them in the future. Loki just knew that no matter what, he was going to be king instead of Thor. He did not really know how, but he knew it would happen.

Right when Loki thought he was getting better, it appeared again. The strange blue from Jötunheim returned, and Loki started freaking out. It happened in the morning before Sigyn had arisen, and Loki panicked as he searched for a way to cover it up. He had no idea why it suddenly started to appear. The blue radiated off his hands and began to slowly travel up his arms. Loki sprinted out of bed and made his way to the washroom, panting wildly as he gingerly touched his face in horror. The blue had made its way up to his face, and his eyes had started to faintly become red.

Loki's heart felt as though it was about to explode. His mind raced as his fingers examined the changes in his skin as he tried to figure out what was going on. In his eyes, he looked like a terrifying monster. Sigyn was going to believe that he was one. Loki's face fell when he thought of how Sigyn would react. Her screams would be so loud, her eyes would be so frightened. Others would also react in the same way. Odin would probably lock him up so he couldn't scare others, and Sigyn would never come down to see him.

Loki did not know what possessed him at that moment, but the next thing he knew, the mirror was shattered in a million pieces and his entire body was shaking. Broken glass was spread out on the counter and floor, but thankfully Loki was unscathed. To his dismay, his eyes were still red and part of his skin is still blue. Trembling, Loki bent down to pick up some of the broken glass, just to prevent it from hurting Sigyn when she came in. He attempted to clear his mind from all of the negative thoughts that swirled through his head, but he felt more preoccupied than ever.

"What in the-" Loki did not need to turn around to find out that it was Sigyn's voice. He kept where he was, waiting for Sigyn to gasp and run far away from this mess. Instead, he heard her knees hit the floor and he felt her hand gently touch his shoulder. "L-Let's get you away from the glass, Loki," she timidly ordered, pulling him towards her instead. He did nothing, drawn to the comforting feel of her hold. "W-What's happening to you, Loki?" she whispered, brushing the hair off his sweaty, partly blue face, stroking it as she hugged him closer.

"I-I don't know," Loki murmured, "i-it happened in Jötunheim a-and..." He honestly had no idea what to do. A part of him wanted to push Sigyn away and be manly as he quietly dealt with it on his own. Another part of him seduced him to take advantage of Sigyn's comforting embrace. Moments like these were so rare, moments when their roles were reversed, and Loki was torn on how to respond.
