Everlasting Love (Loki/Sigyn Fanfic) [ON HOLD]

Chapter Six

Loki lovingly watched Sigyn nod off on his armchair. The sunset streamed from the windows behind and soft light caressed her beautiful face, making his heart flutter. He had insisted that he was feeling better, and that she should get some rest. He put the poor girl through so much that she needed a well deserved break. He was so relieved that she mostly trusted him again, even though he could barely trust himself. He supposed that Sigyn could help him with that, show him things he never knew about himself.

He sat up in his bed, covers on top of everything but his loose nightshirt, slightly damp from sweat. At the moment, he was debating whether or not he should reach forward and kiss Sigyn's cheek or lips. He desired the feeling of his lips touching her soft skin. That kiss from last night was so perfect, so magical, and he could tell she liked it. She resisted once she knew who it really was, but she would have continued kissing him if she did not. That brought so much faith to him, faith he never thought he had.

Someone loudly knocked on the door and Loki quickly told him to come in, worriedly glancing at the peacefully sleeping Sigyn. Thor strode in, stopping at the sight of her in the armchair. "Is she in your chair?!"

"Do not worry, brother," he dismissively waved his hand. "Sigyn is not a problem."

"You know her name?" Thor raised an eyebrow, leaning against one of the grand bedposts.

"You do not know any of the servants' names?" he innocently asked. "What a shame, dear brother. Aren't they people as well?"

"You have gone crazy," Thor snorted.

"What took you so long to see me?" Loki decided to direct the subject away from Sigyn. She did not deserve Thor's scrutiny, not after what Loki put her through. "I thought you would visit your ill brother sooner."

"You know I have training during most of the day. I just cleaned up to see you, Loki."

Loki sighed. "Forgive me, my dear brother. I'm glad you came."

They both had a nice conversation. Loki lowered his voice the entire time so Sigyn would not awaken, while Thor was moderately loud. It was a huge effort on his part. Loki just wished he could have alone time with her. He had to really restrict himself in front of Thor. There were so many urges in his mind, showing no sign of leaving him in peace. He had to somehow control them all, even though he was terrible at it. It was a small sacrifice he had to make for her.

Loki was starving when Thor finally decided to go to supper. "Can you please ask a servant to bring me some food?" he wondered as he tugged on Thor's arm.

"Isn't she supposed to do that for you?" he chuckled in amusement, looking down at her sleeping figure in the armchair.

"I should let her sleep. They do so much work for us, don't they dear brother?"

"I suppose so," Thor shrugged, walking out without saying goodbye.

Loki spent his break watching Sigyn again, noticing the strands of dirty blonde hair that fell in front of her and the contours of her face. In his mind, he sketched a magnificent picture of her. Her nose was perfectly delicate amongst her freckles and shinning hazel eyes, and her smile was soft and inviting. Loki was almost in awe at the beauty before him. It simply took his breath away, more than anything else in the world. She was definitely going to make him crazier than he already was. She was already beginning to do it to him.

A servant lightly tapped on the door and Loki invited him in, propping up in bed so he could receive the food. The servant stared at Sigyn in surprise, confused as he placed the tray in Loki's lap. "D-Do you need anything else, sir?" the servant wondered, looking back and forth between him and Sigyn. From the looks of it, Loki guessed that the servant knew Sigyn and was shocked by her behavior. He did not know Sigyn's relationships with the other servants, but this servant looked as though he liked her. Loki automatically did not like this servant. In his eyes, he was the only one who could feel that way about Sigyn.
