I couldn't sleep last night. So much thought of what happened almost gave me a nightmare when I woke up in the middle of the night. I slammed the book shut, nothing. I clenched onto my silky bed robe and sighed. Almost nothing about Queen Gyokuen and the Kou empire. I sighed and put the book back on the shelf, searching for the Medium. There has to be something, anything! Well, the luck for me, I came across The Ancient Forest by Edward Mathews. I raised my eyebrows up in amusement after grabbing the book from the shelf.
"What's tha-"
"AHH!" I screamed after whacking the book into Sinbad's skull. Gasping as he fell, I dropped the book and caught him swiftly. "I - I'm sorry! Are you ok!?" I felt my eyes water as I didn't get a response. Did I kill him with a book?! I was going to cry until I saw Sinbad's eye pop open. He quickly sat up, laughing nervously.
"A-AH! D-Don't cry! It's alright love, I'm still here!" He quickly said before wiping my tears. I scoffed and stood up, quickly retrieving my book.
"Baka." I stated before looking back on the shelf. Sinbad shuffled to his feet and looked at me with a questioned look.
"Ancient Forest? Did you learn your magic from there?" He asked. I flinched slightly before shaking my head.
"No. But yes. I was born with ar-I mean magic, and it was, uncontrollable. After you had forgotten about me, I ventured into the forest to grow stronger but-" I paused, remembering my death. "- I came across Evermore. She taught me how to use my powers more properly. I'm supposed to visit her soon." I calmly stated. I wasn't lying sort of, I have to find Queen Gyokuen, retrieve my heart, return to Evermore, and go to my slumber.
I sighed before returning back to collecting books. Sinbad must have noticed my expression I gave off. "You seem off with the topic at hand. Is there a reason?" This caught me off guard as my hands started to fidget, my breathing suddenly quickening.
"U-Uh it's just an interesting topic! That's a-" I paused when a hand slammed right next to my face, making me turn back in shock. Sinbad gave off a serious look as his eyes clouded with curiosity. I knew that look from anywhere, don't give in. I smiled and caressed his face with my thumb. "It's fine really. It's just a topic I don't want to get into.." I whispered sweetly before grabbing another book off the shelf. Turning around, I slid under his arm and winked at him.
"I got to get to reading these books now Sin! I love you!"
Sinbad
I watched as Eve ran off, carrying the books close to her chest. I frowned, Eve. Your hiding something and I will find the truth. Please, let this be the truth behind your worried face...

"Sin!" Ja'far shouted, rushing towards me with an angry face. I simply smiled. "Ah, what a beautiful day-AHHH OWOWOWOWOWOOOOOOWWWW!" I screamed as Ja'far gripped my ear, yanking me down to his eye level.
"Explain."
"EXPLAIN WHA-OWWWWWWW!"
"Explain why you haven't done your paperwork?"
I felt my blood run cold and my heart stop. Oh no. I let out a nervous chuckle under his deathly eyes. "Uhhh, sorry?" I suddenly felt a hard smack behind my head that knocked my hat off and left a huge bump on my head. I crouched down, hissing in pain. AHHH THAT SON OF A BI-

Evangelyne let out a laugh, watching Ja'far scowl Sinbad and Sinbad on the floor, rolling in the dirt as he clenched his head. "Dork." She exclaimed before entering back into her room and to her desk that was scattered with books and papers. Above all the papers was a journal about her time left, her missing heart, her death, her second chance. She stared at the journal sideways and sighed. With the information she had, she couldn't get anywhere. She pushed all her chairs to the side and sat in the middle of her room with her legs crossed. Shutting her eyes, Evangelyne took a deep breath.
"Evermore...." She whispered, all the lights in the room blowing out and returning.
"You called?"
Fluttering her eyes softly, she flashed a look at Evermore.
"You know why I called. I need more information on the location of my heart. Without it, I'll burst into butterflies! I need to know, I need to visit..." Evangelyne whispered, staring at Evermore's glowing white hair that fluttered around her along with butterflies. Evermore sighed and sat in the chair with excellent posture.
"Well, I am free for this week but, this will cost you your lifespan. You know our de-
"To use magic at a cost, it will rid of a week of a month. Yes I know, I know my cost...." She interrupted, amusing Evermore as she gave a sly smile. "Well then, shall I schedule a meeting for tomorrow at say, tea time?" Evermore questioned.
Evangelyne smiled and nodded before standing up. "Yes, that would be nice. I really do miss your lily tea. I'll make a magic circle and collect my items for tomorrows trip. Till then.." She paused, sharing a quiet moment with Evermore before cutting off the magic connection. Evangelyne stood in a silence before sighing. "I need to get to work...."
