When I first met you it was the second year of my Greencloak training.

At the time I had no idea who you were. I did know that you were Zhongese and from the way you stood, I know you were going to be a great Greencloak warrior.

We danced the night away, we drank too much

I didn't talk to you that first day, pretty girls make me nervous. I didn't talk to you for the first month either.

The first time I actually talked to you was under bad circumstances.

You were throwing up

I thought the Commander was insane for sending a thirteen year old on a mission with only three other Greencloaks. I killed the two bandits, but you were bleeding bad from the stab wound.

Then you smiled over your shoulder

You tried to joke it off, but you were in great pain, I could see it in your eyes. Our first conversation was me yelling at you to stay awake and calling Lenori's name.

For a minute, I was stone-cold sober

She healed you up, a pretty good job for a fourteen year old. You passed out from the pain and we took you back using Olvan's spirit animal.

I pulled you closer to my chest

The Commander pulled you off the field until you healed, and man, were you angry about that. I was postive Zhosur was going to kill him.

And you asked me to stay over

Although the mission was a failure it did break the ice for all four of us.

I said, I already told ya

Olvan was way to uptight for sixteen and you always joked about how old he was, trying to convince him to loosen up by breaking the rules.

I think that you should get some rest

Lenori was sweet and innocent like any thirteen year old and dreamed of being a healer. I lost track of how many times she had to stitch you up from doing something stupid.

I knew I loved you then

You always made fun of my partnership, about an otter being bonded to the most serious guy you ever knew. It became your mission to annoy me and make me laugh.

But you'd never know

Didn't take long for you to succeed.
