"Riker, go wake up Madison and tell her that dinners ready" mom says to me. I stand from the couch and walk to her room.
"Maddy? C'mon time for dinner" I say as I poke my head into her room. She jumps out of her bed and rushes to my side. We make our way to the kitchen.
~later on in the dinner~
"Madison are you going to give daddy his present now?" Asks Del. Madison nods her head and Rydel hands her a small bag.
"For you daddy" she says as she hands it to me. I open it to see two necklaces. One with a heart and one with a key. I smile at her.
"Thank you Maddy. Which is mine?"
"The key" she replies. I take out mine and put it on before putting Madison's on her. She then wraps her arms around my neck as I kiss the top of her head. The rest of my family awws us.
"You are so sweet" mom comments tearing up slightly.
"Hey mom no crying got it?" I say with a slight laugh.
After dinner I take Madison back to her room and lay on the bed with her.
"You are the best thing that has happened to me princess" I whisper as I kiss the top of her head.
"I love you daddy" she mumbles
"I love you too baby" I whisper as I play with her hair till we both fall asleep with my daughter laying against my chest and my arms keeping her close.
