Riker's POV
I stare at Lucy in the hospital bed. She was connected to several monitors. I still can't believe that she could die in order to protect... Me.
"Daddy? Is Lucy going to be okay?" Madison asks softly.
"I hope so baby" I answer. The door opens to reveal Rocky and his girlfriend Brittany.
"Hey Rike" Rocky says
"Hey" I answer
"We're sorry about Lucy" Brittany adds kindly.
"Thanks Brit. It means a lot. Maddy go with uncle Rocky okay? Daddy needs some time alone" I say. When the three of them leave I turn back to Lucy.
"Please be okay Lucy... Please... Madison needs you as a mother. I need you... You've saved me and protected my life. I wish I could repay you." I whisper as the tears slips from my eyes.
~two weeks later Lucy's POV~
I woke up in a bright room. I then realise that I am in the hospital.
"L-Lucy?" A male voice asks. That voice belonged to Riker.
"Hey" I say quietly. I reach my hand out and caress his face.
"I'm sorry" He says as we hug.
"What are you sorry about?" I ask kindly.
"If it wasn't for me then you would never have had to have almost gotten killed" he sighs.
"Come here" I said moving on the bed slightly so that we could lay together. As soon as he is laying down I move and rest my head on his chest. "At least you and your daughter are safe" I remind him.
"Listen Lucy, Madison needs a mother that she can look up to and I don;t think I am ready to lose you again so will you marry me?" he asks as he produces a small velvet box. I gasp.
"Oh Riker... Y-yes" I stutter out before I bring our lips together.
