Chapter seven

Riker's POV
I was waiting for Madison to come out of her play group when my eyes fell on a girl of around my age. She was tall had platinum blonde hair (that I could tell was dyed) and striking blue eyes. Pure beauty...

"Hey daddy!" Madison exclaimed while jumping into my arms.

"Hey kiddo, how was your first day?" I asked as I see the girl/goddess bending down to a child.

"Really good I made a new friend called Julie" she said at the same time as I heard a girl say "I made a new friend called Madison" I look up and see a small girl dragging the woman over to us.

"Is this Julie?" I asked my girl

"Yes." I look at the blonde.

"And you are?"

"Lucy Taylor" she responded smiling widely as she extended her hand. I then realised that I was still holding Madison in both of my arms. So I shuffled her around a bit until she was resting on my hip. I then took her hand and kisses the back of it. The little girls giggled and she blushed.

"Lucy is Julie's cousin" Maddy explains.

"And Riker is Maddy's daddy" Julie adds. Lucy looks at her watch.

"Right trouble we have to get you home" she said. We both put the girls down and they hug.

"Look I know we just met but would you like to have dinner with me on Friday?" I ask tentatively. She smiles.

"I'd love to. Here take this" she says handing me a slip of paper. "It's my number. Call me sometime" she adds before taking Julie and leaving the playground.

~Riker in the car~

"Daddy?"

"Yes princess?"

"Why don't I have a mommy?"

"Because... When I adopted you I never had a girlfriend that you could call 'mommy'" I explain

"Can Lucy be my mommy?" she asks sweetly. I slightly smile.

"I hope so baby. I really do" I reply softly

Awww Riker's in love... What do you think of Lucy? Do you think that they will get together? Will Riker's past come to haunt him?
