~Two years later Riker's POV~
"I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride" the priest announces. I look adoringly at her. I lean in. So does she. Our lips brush and I close the gap. As we kiss I hear the congregation applauding and my mom crying. We break apart and six year old Madison rushes to us. I place her on my hip and extend my arm to my new wife. Her face glows as she smiles and takes it. I begin to walk down the aisle with my new family.
My Lucy is perfect...
My Madison is perfect...
My life is perfect...~at the reception Lucy's POV~
I spent most of my time greeting the guest before it was time for mine and Riker's first dance as a couple.
"This song was written when Madison came into my life and I am so happy that it can be played as I welcome my new wife, Lucy, into my life. This is 'My Favourite Girl'" Riker introduces before he comes and takes my hand. He leads me onto the dance floor and we begin to dance looking deep into the eyes of the other as we moved.
Boston never seemed to be
So lovely in the fall to me
Florida's not so cold
But distance just gets oldHey maybe we can stay
Maybe we can lay like this foreverDon't you know she is my favorite girl
I want to run away for days with her
And if you promise not to say a thing
I'm gonna buy that girl a diamond ringI said oooooh
I think I love you
Oooooh
I think I love you, I love you
My favorite girlIt's funny how love takes you by surprise
And I just didn't know what I was missing 'til you opened my eyesHey maybe we can stay
Maybe we can lay like this foreverDon't you know she is my favorite girl
I want to run away for days with her
And if you promise not to say a thing
I'm gonna buy that girl a diamond ringI said oooooh
I think I love you
Oooooh
I think I love you I love you
My favorite girlWe're in love love love
Love love love
We're in love love love
Love loveAs the song finishes Riker dips me. Our lips touch and I feel sparks going off all around me. Nothing else mattered apart from him and my new daughter.
My Riker is perfect...
My Madison is perfect...
My life is perfect...~two months later Riker's POV~
The tour bus engine is roaring behind me as I say my last goodbyes.
"Now you be a good girl for your mom okay baby girl?" I say while trying not to cry in front of her.
"I will daddy" she answers her lip quivering. I pull her into my chest. When she lets go I turn to Lucy.
"Do you have to go?" Asks Lucy as I embrace her and keep her close.
"You know I do."
"I don't know if I'm gonna be able to cope with Madison by myself. You are such a big part of her life" she explains. I cup her face in my hand.
"I know you can baby. I'll always be a phone call away" I respond before pulling her in for a passionate kiss in which she wastes no time in tangling her fingers in my hair. When we pull apart I turn and get on the bus.
"I love you girls" I say before we pull away from the house.
I collapse onto the sofa and sigh.
"C'mon Riker three months isn't that bad" Rydel consoles.
"I've not been away for them for this long though" I answer. I look up as dad comes in.
"Riker we need to tell you that the tour isn't three months. It's nine years"
"WHAT!?" I explode. That means I won't see Madison until she is sixteen!
