Riker's POV
This feels so wrong... My baby shouldn't be lying here broken. It should be me. I should have protected her like I said I would. I've failed her.
"Maddy if you can hear daddy I'm so sorry that this has happened to you. I love you angel" I whisper softly as I take her hand.
Lucy's POV
"Well done Lucy! You have broken him by showing him his failure. Now I am one step closer to having a family. Just me, Carla and Maddy" Robert whispers, his breath hot against my neck.
"You know I didn't want to!" I say hardly.
"But you did"
"You threatened my family!"
"Shut it!"
"No" I reply coldly.
"Very well then" he whispered before grabbing his whip and hitting me five times. I wanted to scream. I wanted to cry out for Riker. However I just bit back the pain.
"You have one more thing to do Lucy you have to kill Riker Anthony Lynch"
"No I he trusts me!" I exclaim
"Even better you can get closer to him. You have never really loved him" he answers.
