"Okay is everyone ready?" I ask as the last few things are put in place for my daughter's fourth birthday party. Lets just say that there is a lot of pink for her. I take a quick glance around and smile. This is going to be perfect.
I hear Ross's car pull up and everyone gets in their hiding places and waits for the birthday girl to enter.
"Hello? Daddy?" a tiny voice asks
"Surprise!" We all exclaim as the light switches on. She squeals and rushes into my arms. She hugs me tightly before rushing to her auntie and uncles. As I watch her I smile and feel Papa next to me.
"You've done an amazing job with her Riker" he smiles
"Thanks dad. She's my world" I answer looking back at her.
~later on~
We were all sat having cake and giving out presents when someone arrived.
"Which of you is Riker Lynch?" he asks. I stand
"That'll be me" I reply as he comes towards me.
"I warned you once to often about staying away from her" he growls before his fist makes contact with my face. I yelp in pain and Madison starts to scream. He advances to her and grabs her tiny waist.
"No! get your hands off my daughter" I exclaim as I try to release her however he pushes me off and I hit my head against the floor hard. All I can hear is Madison's continual screaming as I fall into nothingness.
Sorry that it is short but I wanted to post the plot twist.
