01 • Glad

I know most of you skip the A/N's at the end, but please read this one.

 It was a quiet day on the Narnian ship, the crew bustling about, the Captain at his station. The King and Queen worked on deck, helping with as much as they could, and as much as the crew would allow. The day was worm, as the pair both sported pants, boots, and white blouses. The queen also adorned a leather corset of sorts, her hair pulled into a side braid, unlike her brother's unruly mess. 

They were wrapping up a conversation with the Captain, as a frantic cry sounded out.                   "Man overboard!"

The two looked at one another, rushing toward the crew. "There's three men, your majesties." The queen turned toward a blonde crew members, beckoning him over. "Follow us in." They stood upon the rail, and dove.

   Sure, the water was warm, but it also held a welcoming chill. They swam, each going for their own person. Conversation struck among a pair, as the Queen turned to a brunette boy. 

"Edmund?" She gasped, eyes bulging at the young boy- well, man, before her.

"Aubrianna?" Then, a shrill voice calls out. "Edmund it's Caspian!" The four come together, bright smiles adorning their faces. "Are we in Narnia?" Edmund's silly question makes the King laugh, nodding. "Yes, you're in Narnia. They swim over to an awaiting pulley, ready to take them back on deck. A panicked voice yells nearby, as Caspian and Lucy stand upon the bar, Edmund turns to the Queen. "I've missed you."

     She smiles, a bright cheeky, teeth showing, smile. "And I, you." However, she can't help the slight ache in her sad heart.

The lever lowers once more, this time empty, as the two are ready to be pulled up. "Hold on." Aubrianna takes notice of the fact that Edmund is now almost taller than her. They make it upon deck and watch on as their siblings converse. "How in the world did you end up here?"

Lucy, although smiling, shrugs slightly. "I have no idea." It is then that Edmund calls out to the King. "Caspian!" He turns, walking from where he had left Lucy, and embraced the boy, and wrapping a towel around him all at once. The three then make their way back toward an awaiting High Queen. "Edmund." They both smile kindly, their hearts light.

     "It's great to see you!" They walk in a line, toward the stairs, as Lucy furrows her brows. "Didn't you call for us?" Caspian shakes his head as Aubrianna speaks. "No. Not this time." Edmund shrugs, acting as if it's no big deal. "Well, whatever the case, I'm just glad to be here." 

Not going to lie I was going to have this chapter SUPEr long ass I was only half way through the scene and already had 700+ words, so I'm chopping it up into (hopefully two) chapters.

Please understand that you all have to try and be patient with me. I don't have a transcript for this movie and I'm actually watching the movie, skipping some scenes I don't need to write, writing the ones I do, and it's a very LONG process. This scene (Chapter 1 & 2) alone took up 7 & 1/2 pages in the notebook I'm using to write this all in. It's gonna be a long ride.

Edit: Nope, the bald guy is Captain, my bad!!
