"To protect them from the evil." Aubrianna wasn't listening to the conversation being carried out among the four figures in front of her, she was lost in her own mind as she walked beside Lord Drinian.
"You mean the mist?" Coriakin stopped, looking at the young high king before him. "I mean what lies behind it." He gestured for the six to make their way into his library, a grave expression on his face.
Clouds made of stars shining bright on the ceiling greeted the Narnian's as the bearded older man mad his way to grab a large scroll, before he stopped, rolling it out on the floor. This wasn't any ordinary map, no, this was a seemingly holographic map of narnian. It took up a good few feet of the floor, and they all gaped in awe.
"It's quite beautiful."
Lucy and Edmund shared a look, surprised at the words that came from their cousin's mouth. Along the side of the map, was a series of moving pictures depicting the event of the arrival of the Pevensie's arrival in Narnia, even the great battle with the ice witch. "I mean for a make believe map of a make believe world."
This time, Aubrianna shared a look with her own sibling, the twitching of her lips noticeable to her twin. "Here is the source of your troubles." At Coriakin's words, the map beings moving, clouds whipping away until all that's left is a view of a dark, seemingly glowing island.
"Dark Island, a place where evil lurks. It can take any form, it can make your darkest dreams come true. "
The bearded man walked to the middle of the map, spinning around to look at each and everyone of the Narnian's in the room. His intense stare caused the oldest girl to shiver, grabbing a lock of her auburn hair in comfort and twisting it in her slender fingers. "It seeks to corrupt all goodness, to steal the light from this world."
"How do we stop it?" The high queen spoke, while Aubrianna cast an incredulous look in the girl's direction. Coriakin spun, his gaze meeting Lucy's own. "You must break its spell." He turned, pointing toward Edmund's sword. "That sword you carry, there are six others." Edmund perked up at this, opening his mouth to speak. 'Have you seen them?"
"Yes."
Caspian met his sister's eyes, anxiety slowly filling the king. "The six lords, they passed through here?" Coriakin walked closer to the king, nodding in the process. "Indeed."
"Where are they heading?" The map began to move, Coriakin turning with it. "Where I sent them." An island suddenly appears, a little blue orb soon appearing above it. "To break the spell, you must follow the blue star to Ramandu's island. There, the seven swords must be laid at Aslan's table. Only then can the true magical power be released." A look of worry is sent his sister's way, as Caspian glances back to meet the weary eyes of Lord Drinian.
"But beware, you are all about to be tested." His words raise some flags in Aubrianna's mind, and she speaks up for the first time since entering the home.
"Tested?"
Coriakin stepped closer to the brunette, nodding. "Until you lay down the seventh sword, evil has the upper hand. It will do everything in its power to tempt you."
He steps closer to the Narnian high queen next to Aubrianna, leaning forward. "Be strong. Don't fall to temptation." He looks to Caspian this time as he says this, leaving a lingering glance in Aubrianna's direction.
"To defeat the darkness out there, you must defeat the darkness inside yourself."

It seems that as soon as the ship had lost sight of the island belonging to Coriakin, that the storm swept in. The waves were harsh, and the water cold. Lightning and rain simultaneously poured from the sky, booming claps of thunder sounding as well.
The boat rocked harshly, doing nothing to ease the nerves of a particular queen. It had been like this, day and night, for two weeks now, and she was worried about the well being of her crew. She sat below deck next to her brother, the pair looking out the window at the storm as Drinian stood, placing things about their map.
"So, we're stuck here- at half rations of food and water for two more weeks maximum."
Drinian looked between the siblings, also sparing a glance at Edmund who stood, leaning against a bean for support. "This is your last chance to turn back your majesties. There's no guarantee we'll spot the blue star anytime soon- not in this storm."
Caspian shared glances with Edmund as the pair soaked in the lord's words. "A needle in they haystack trying to find this- Ramandu place. We could sail right past and off the edge of the world." "Or get eaten by a sea serpent."
Edmund's sarcastic words earned him an annoyed look from the older king sitting next to his twin, exhaustion heavy within his soul.
"I'm just saying the men are getting nervous. These are strange seas we're sailing. The likes of which I've never seen before."
Fed up with his words, Aurbrianna stood, leaning her arms atop the map as she spoke. "Then perhaps Captain, you would like to be the one to explain to Mr. Rhince that we're abandoning the search for his family?" Her tone was trying, fed up with the bickering among the three men in the room.
The brunette's twin joined her, gripping the table to support his standing on the unstable ship. Drinian looking defeated, nodded.
"I'll get back to it."
He stalked toward the door, grabbing his coat. "Just a word of warning- the sea can play nasty tricks on a crew's mind. Very nasty." At that he stalked out, leaving the three standing monarchs, grabbing onto the room beams to stand, to look at each other in question.

Very short chapter, sorry! I AM SO SO SORRY for not updating in the longest time. I haven't had a free weekend since the beginning of school in September and between school and my mental health I completely lost track of updating this book. I finally found time tonight to sit down and write for the first time in months and it's refreshing. I wish I could say I wish to update ASAP but I know it just won't be possible to updating routinely. I hope everyone has an AMAZING holiday season! I couldn't thank you all enough for 100K+ reads on Siege and I hope one day this book can reach as many reads as Siege has! I love you all:-)
