They were, by no means, anywhere close to land. The storm had yet to cease so a good majority of the crew had gone to bed, taking turns in shifts to man the deck. Aubrianna had been plagued with sleep after the long day she had, and she welcomed it. Since the nightmare she had a few nights prior, the girl was wary of sleeping again.

However, she was awoken by the shrill sound of a roar, the brunette shot up out of her position in the cot placed at the foot of the bed that contained only Gael, Lucy leaning over the fire feet away. "Lucy, what are you doing awake?" The girl looked hesitant, glancing between the fire and the queen. "Bad dreams." Without another word, the high queen grabbed the hand of the older girl, and began to lead her out the door and toward the direction of their brother's hammocks. The kings had sleeping quarters separate from the crew, albeit still not the best place to sleep.

"Edmund."

The pair watched the high king draw his sword, pointing it past a sleeping Caspian, a look of worry crossing the features of the girls to the left of him. Lucy repeated his name again, and he finally turned to meet their gazes. The boy breathed a sigh of relief at the sight of the two, but upon hearing the ship creak again, turned again to the empty spot beyond Caspian, sword pointed high. "Lucy, Aubrianna."

Upon hearing the sound of lightning, Caspian startled awake, looking at the trio before him with an alarmed stare. "Cas?" Worry filtered Aubrianna's voice, glancing down at her baby brother. "I can't sleep." Edmund looked at Caspian, then back to girls before frowning. "Let me guess; bad dreams." It wasn't a question, but rather a statement, and they all knew it. "So, either we're all going mad, or something's playing with our minds." The high king laid back, staring at the ceiling. Turning to the younger girl, Aubrianna gripped her shoulder in comfort.

"Go back to bed, I'll be there in a moment."

Lucy nodded, wishing her brother a goodnight, while Aubrianna went to sit next to her brother. He made room for her wordlessly, shifting over in the hammock. A moments silence passed between them, which then turned to minutes.

Soon enough, Edmund had fallen back to sleep, and Aubrianna took this as a chance to  speak. "What do you dream of?" Caspian tensed, breathing heavily before looking downcast at the blanket situated atop of him. "Father. And you?" That was all Aubrianna needed to know to understand what troubled him.

"Peter."

Caspian frowned, knowing how guilty his sister had felt since the departure of her love, knowing that she longed to be with him but never could- the closest thing she had to him now was his remaining family. No words were spoken between the pair as Aubrianna leaned her head onto her brother's shoulder, his arm winding around her in comfort.

-

Upon the arrival of dawn also came the end of the storm. Now that the crew was able to work properly, they set about finding land, and it came sooner rather than later. Aubrianna sat next to her brother in one of their boats, rowing away from the Dawn Treader as Reepicheep called out to them from a nearby boat.

"I doubt the lord's stopped here my lieges'. There's no sign of anything living."

Caspian nodded, turning to face the knight. "Right. Well, once we get ashore take your men to look for food and water. The four of us will look for clues-" Before the king could continue, he was interrupted by Eustace. "Hang on, you mean the five of us?"

Simultaneously, the four monarchs and a crew member turned to look at the boy, similar expressions of disbelief adorned upon their features. "Cmon, please don't send me back to the rat." Glaring at said knight, Reepicheep turned to look at the boy. "I heard that." A scowl set upon the features of the human, turning to face away from the Narnian.

"Big ears."

Aubrianna struggled to stifle a snort as she heard Reepicheep replying to the boy once more. Her brother joined her however, as did the other Pevensie's. Eustace huffed, glaring at the floorboards of the boat he was currently in, longing for the shore to come closer, faster.

-

Eustace's wish was granted, as not much longer later, the boats had made it to the shore of the deserted island. Aubrianna helped their small party unload and dock the boats, before setting off with her brother and the younger monarchs to scout the island. It didn't take them long to come across a hole in the ground, Caspian being the first to spy a rope tied to a nearby rock as they approached it, the rope descending into the hole.

"Look! We're not the first ones to make it to this island."

Coming up being the siblings, Edmund peered down at the opening. "The lords?" Aubrey shrugged, following her brother in stepping over the rope. "Could be." Caspian, picking up a rock, was swift in letting it drop down the hole, turning to look at the trio to his left. "What do you think could be down there?" They all listened for the rock to hit bottom, all peering over. "Let's find out."

A bit short, but honestly I've had shorter parts. I would apologize for the lack of updates, but SU has been in the title for a bit, soo; I'm going to try to update more often so that I can move onto other projects but I refuse to abandon this book. I started a Jasper Hale ff[up on my profile] and I've got it written pretty much through to the beginning of bd pt 1, so check that out, pretty please :) -T
