Boom! A loud clap of thunder woke Mitch up. He grumbled and turned around, trying to go back to sleep. Just as he closed his eyes another clap of thunder woke him up. He got up and decided to head to Scott's room, hoping that the comfort of his best friends arms would lull him to sleep.
He padded to Scott's door and quietly opened it. He crept into the room and snuck into Scott's bed, being as quiet as he could be. He cuddled up to Scott and pulled the blankets up to him, the movement waking up Scott. "Who's there?" He grunted in a raspy, sleepy voice.
"It's just me" Mitch whispered. Scott looked down at him. "What are you doing in my bed?" he asked. "Well the thunder kept me awake so I thought I'd come sleep with you." Mitch explained. "Oh ok" Scott said. He pulled Mitch closer holding him protectively. "Good night Mitchy. Sweet dreams." Mitch placed a small kiss in the middle of Scott's chest. "Good night Scotty." The two went peacefully to sleep with no more thunder to keep them awake.
