"Kiss me."
"W-what?" Veronica stammered, wondering if she'd heard right, maybe she was imagining things but she was almost positive that Cheryl had just told her to kiss her. Of course she wanted to, she wanted to just grab the girls face and kiss her until her lips hurt but she couldn't do that, at least not here and not just out of the blue. Cheryl looked at her with her big brown eyes, no hesitance flickering over them like before and she repeated herself.
"I dare you to kiss me." Without even a blink the girl said it again, a little worried that made Veronica thought she was a little forward or that she was still hung up on that girl she'd dated before but something told her it wasn't that. Veronica's eyes left hers to look to the other girls who were all grinning, Josie smiling from ear to ear. Was this some kind of set up?
She looked back to Cheryl for any indication that this could be a rouse, just trying to wind her up, she felt a sickening feeling in her stomach. What was she supposed to do? She couldn't just take Cheryl's face in her hands the way she did with Betty, that was trying to prove a point and win over the redhead to allow them in. This kiss she wanted to last forever, she wanted to put all her feelings for the redhead into it, tell her how she felt about her with her lips, yet be gentle at the same time. Veronica saw no sign of a joke from Cheryl as the redhead waited patiently. Veronica knew she had two choices, forfeit or do it. But there was no way in hell she'd forfeit a chance to kiss Cheryl, the girl was gorgeous and giving her a soft look that would only crush her heart if she didn't kiss the girl.
"Come on, Veronica. Kiss her, she's waiting..."Val urged her on, Veronica not looking over at her just in case it put her off actually doing it, she didn't like having Josie and the pussycats watching them but she knew they wouldn't leave. Veronica cleared her throat that had dried up.
"H-how long?"
They all looked to Cheryl to see how long she wanted it to be, the nervous Veronica watching her too, her stomach fluttering at the thought that any moment her lips would be on Cheryl's cherry ones. Cheryl smiled, something hidden in it as she spoke,
"You pull away whenever you want to, could be a second, could be five minutes, it's completely down to you." Veronica's eyes shined, the thought of kissing Cheryl for however long she wanted made her belly do somersaults. Cheryl waited patiently the other girls practically on the edge of their seats to see Cheryl getting something she'd wanted since she'd laid eyes on the petite brunette.
And then Veronica did it, she edged towards Cheryl almost hesitantly, every hair on her body on end as she reached up, resting a hand on Cheryl's jaw, fingers trailing it ever so slightly, eyes drifting to the rosy red lips waiting to be kissed, Veronica felt the lust take over her as she looked back to Cheryl the girl watching Veronica's lips, eyes filled with the same desire and Veronica quickly closed the space; her eyes fluttered shut at the contact, wanting to savour it. She heard a hum from Cheryl's throat, showing her approval of the way she kissed her. She was always told she was an amazing kisser. Veronica's other hand slipped behind Cheryl's neck, pulling the girl towards her slightly, deepening the kiss. Veronica could tell Cheryl liked it because after what felt like a minute a hand was placed on her knee, making Veronica jolt a little but she carried on a hand in Cheryl's hair. It was just how she imagined it would be, soft, smooth, perfectly silky and it felt incredible when she ran her fingers through it. Just as she felt Cheryl slide her tongue along Veronica's bottom lip, asking for entrance one of the girls cleared their throat.
The sound had pulled the two girls - who were basically tangled in each other by that point - out of their moment and apart in seconds, Veronica's eyes falling to the floor as she pressed her lips in a line, avoiding any awkward looks from Josie and the girls. Veronica hadn't been expecting that tonight. But she'd be lying if she said she wasn't happy that it had happened; in fact she was overjoyed and if it was any other circumstances she'd have carried on kissing Cheryl. Her skin felt like someone had struck a match on it everywhere Cheryl had touched her and she longed to feel it again but she knew it'd only be weird for the girls if they just ignored them and went about their kissing.
A laugh broke out from Melody, "You looked like you enjoyed that, you were practically eating each other!" She squealed, seemingly happy about what had just occurred.
"At first I thought you'd chicken out of it," Val grinned looking at Veronica whose cheeks were still burning but she shrugged, a little confidence coming over her, shooting a smirk at Cheryl.
"I don't think anyone would chicken out of getting to kiss Cheryl, besides, I think she agreed with my kissing skills." Veronica smirked, glancing to Cheryl who'd arched a brow at the brunette's confidence and let out a light laugh.
"I have to say, it might just be the best kiss I've experienced in my lifetime." Veronica was flattered, she felt the exact same way about how Cheryl had kissed her, it was like taking her out of reality and into a whole new world. Cheryl might just be a better kisser than her now she understood why every boy fell at their knees for the redhead, no doubt they all know how good of a kisser she was seem as rumour had it she'd kissed most of the guys in Riverdale High. But damn did she have Veronica head over heels for her.
