Veronica had been staying behind for practise a lot lately, she wanted to get used to cheerleading again but she also wanted to impress Cheryl with her moves, show her she had learnt something other than fashion when she was in New York. Veronica had been cheerleading in the River Vixens for almost a week now and so far she'd seen Cheryl cheer-lead like it was all that matter in life, she moved so gracefully and didn't falter once when she had to do the solo moves, Veronica was in awe every time she saw Cheryl preform. Even when it was simply just practise, she'd go all out.

"Nice work today." Cheryl smiled, using a towel to wipe the beads of sweat from her forehead. Betty had gotten the hint about Veronica staying behind now and headed out on her own to meet the boys. Veronica let out a exasperated breath, she'd done her best today sensing Cheryl had been watching her, making sure she was doing everything perfectly for their routine for the game next week.

"Thanks."

"I've been meaning to ask you about that sleepover I was talking about the other day..."Cheryl spoke, tossing the towel aside so it landed on the benches that had been pushed against the wall. Veronica raised her eyebrows, she'd been wondering whether Cheryl had already had the sleepover and had just forgotten to invite her, she was thrilled to know the redhead hadn't forgotten her invitation. "So, if you'd like...or you know, if you're not too busy tomorrow night, would you like to join me, Josie and the others at a sleepover around mine?"

Veronica put on a playful smirk, raising a brow. "Will there be snacks?"

Cheryl stifled a giggle at the brunettes question, food always came first. Cheryl nodded, "What would a sleepover be without snacks?"

"Then lucky for you Ms Blossom, I shall be there...I think I'll bring along some famous cupcakes that I adore, no doubt you and the girls will fall in love with them too!" Veronica beamed, giving Cheryl's shoulder a friendly nudge, the action making Cheryl feeling a flutter erupt in her stomach, she smiled happily down at Veronica. She was tempted to 'forget' to invite Josie and the girls just so that she could spend a little quality time with Veronica, it was safe to say she was completely smitten to Veronica and there was nothing she could do to stop it, she was head over heels for the girl and she'd only known her a week. The thought of getting to know even more about Veronica, getting to be closer to her only made Cheryl smile brighter each day.

Cheryl watched as Veronica's broad smile changed into a sincere, gentle one, giving Cheryl warm filled eyes as she placed a hand on Cheryl's forearm, the touch making her skin feel as though it was tingling.

"You seem happier these past couple of days." Veronica sounded genuinely pleased by that fact and it only made Cheryl fall for her more, she really did care about her unlike everyone else she knew, sure Josie was close to her, she was probably her best friend and she'd taken time off of her tour just to come and see if Cheryl was okay once she'd heard the news about Jason. So she guessed not everyone in this world was bad. Cheryl gave a short nod and a small smile.

"Yeah...well a good cry and a kind friend can really lift your spirits...even in times like this," Cheryl shrugged, she knew they should be practising, that was what Veronica had stayed behind for but she enjoyed talking to the brunette, her company was what kept her smiling and talking to someone who actually cared for what she had to say was nice. Besides, Veronica didn't seem to mind the talking, she was showing no sign of wanting to wrap this up and get on with what she had stayed behind for. "You never really talk about yourself, tell me something you think will surprise me about you."

Veronica felt a little pressured by the sudden request and she thought quickly to find one, something that wasn't completely obvious to people until they knew her well, something that would take the ginger by surprise. Veronica grinned when she found what she was going to say and Cheryl raised a brow in curiosity.

"I'm bisexual."

Cheryl could faint, it felt like her heart had just leaped out of her chest and danced along the floor in celebration, bursting with joy at the two simple words that had spilled out of Veronica's mouth. I'm bisexual. Veronica really had taken her by surprise, she'd been expecting something about meeting a celebrity in New York or her favourite restaurant but this was so much better. Cheryl had realised she'd been stood in complete shock, frozen to the core just staring at Veronica for the past minute or so and she awkwardly snapped out of it, not knowing what to say in response, she couldn't just blurt out that she liked girls too and then tell her all about the emotions that she felt towards Veronica; she didn't want to freak the girl out.

"C-cool, whoa...t-that did take me by surprise." Cheryl stammered out, cringing at how lame she sounded, Veronica let out a laugh, the sweet sound like music to her ears.

"Yeah, I could tell by the whole minute of silence thing."

Cheryl blushed furiously, she hadn't meant to look so dumbfounded by the news she'd just thought Veronica was strictly into guys, she guessed not. Cheryl felt like an idiot, she knew Veronica must've felt like Cheryl didn't like the fact that she was into girls as well as boys and she innerly face palmed her forehead, stumbling to fix her error.

"Sorry, I mean that's great, awesome, w-when did you know...you weren't you know just into guys?"

Veronica thought for a moment before answering, thinking back. "I mean I guess I've always known...but I was only really sure when I was into this girl, we uh, dated for a while when I was in New York." Cheryl slipped out an "Oh." mid sentence whilst Veronica was talking.  Cheryl shuffled uncomfortably, she didn't want to hear more about Veronica's previous girlfriend, it would only make her chest tighten even more than it already was. Veronica shrugged it off, "But hey, now you know something that most people don't. I guess we're really friends now, huh?"

Cheryl smiled, liking the fact that she knew something about Veronica that others didn't. It meant she really trusted her, "Well I wouldn't be inviting you over if you weren't my friend, although I must warn you...it's best you don't come by my house when my parents are in town. They aren't exactly the most welcoming people and they certainly won't welcome you with open arms...they kind of really hate your family."

Veronica sighed, "It's hard to find people who don't hate them these days, but that's alright, when their in town you can just come around mine. My mum isn't fond of your family either but we're not exactly on speaking terms at the moment so she can't tell who can and can't come into our apartment."

Cheryl smiled, grateful that Veronica didn't really seem too phased by her family not liking Veronica's, although technically her family hated everyone though her mother actually like Josie and the girls, probably only because they were well known, but still.
