Ren's POV
"Good morning class. Please go back to your seats. Class will begin now.", I looked at the teacher then glanced for the hundredth time at the empty seat behind me where Vince was supposed to be in.
Is he late? Or did he cut class again?
I placed my hand on my forehead and shooked it in dismay, "When will he ever learn..."
"It seems Mr. Vincent Taylor is absent due to some problems at home and may be gone for a couple of days so Mr. Ren Minato can I entrust you to give him the lessons he'll be missing?"
"H-Huh? Ah yes, Sir!", I said as I was caught off guard at my name suddenly being called but what's more was the fact that Vince was actually absent because of a personal problem...
Could it be...
I couldn't help but be worried at what kind of problem is happening right now with him and his father.
"I hope it's not that bad...."
••••~
"Absent?", Lucky asked as she put a mouth full of rice into her mouth.
We were at the rooftop since it was already lunch and began discussing about Vince being absent.
I only nodded at her question, making sure not to let the reason he was absent slip out.
She can't know about Vince's problems at home yet....Vince has to tell her about it himself.
"Ren!", And right before I knew it, my hand was suddenly pulled down to the ground where in Chloe and Tristans face got close to mine and started whispering.
"Oh no....could it be something with his father?!", Chloe said as softly as possible.
"I think so too but I hope not..", I whispered back, looking worried once more.
"Should we visit him later?", Tristan suggested.
But before I could answer, a deep voice, too close, whispered between the three of us, "What are you guys talking about?..."
"W-Waaah!!", Tristan and Chloe shouted as they pampered away suddenly after hearing the voice.
But when I turned to look who it was, it was only Jax looking at us judgingly, "What were you guys talking about to even be that secretive about it?", He asked still eyeing us.
I could hear Chloe and Tristan stuttering trying to find a proper answer to his question, which only made them look even more supicious.
I only smiled at Jax, "We were actually discussing if we would visit Vince later at his house, do you guys want to come with us?", I said looking at him and Lucky.
It's not a bad idea to invite them. I still have doubts with Jax, but with Lucky...after all she doesn't deserve to be left out anymore when it comes to us.
"Really? Welp too bad...I've got a part-time job just after school so I can't come. What about you, Luck?", Jax said.
I couldn't help but be annoyed at the nickname he used on Lucky. Ever since this morning he'd been calling her 'Luck', saying it was easier and more comfortable.
I don't know nor want to feel this way but I couldn't help it...And I don't know why...
"I can't go too...", Lucky said which made me turn to look at her, "Why's that?", I asked a bit dissapointed but made sure to hide it.
