I sighed heavily, gazing at Emilie with curious eyes and looking for answers. She was at least 5'1", with long blonde hair, and blue wings that complemented the twinkle within her bright blue eyes.

"Bernadette, do you remember what happened or have any idea as to what actually happened?" I shook my head, confusion evident on my features as I attempted to recall the events from the last three days.
"I remember dancing, singing-"
"Singing?"
"Yes! Singing. And I woke up in here this morning, three days after."
Emilie's features crept into a bright smile, revealing her perfect teeth which almost made her seem like she was glowing. The door behind her creaked open slowly, revealing Lily.
"Kingy let you sleep in his bed?" It all makes sense. The room was filled with the same colours as what Jareth wore at the ball. All the varying shades of blue and why he'd said that he would return. I sat up in bed, my head spinning as I refused to lay myself back upon the mattress.
"Emilie, I need Jareth. Now." She shook her head, walking towards me and feeling my forehead for any fever.
"You need to hear diagnosis first milady."
"I have an idea of what's going on. Fetch me the king. Now." I brushed her hand away from my face, watching as she scattered and flew out of the room with haste.

JARETH'S POINT OF VIEW

"Fetch me the king. Now." The phrase rang in his head. Jareth was surprised to hear that she needed him. Snapping his fingers, the crystal flew into mid-air with a 'pop' similar to that of a bubble as he began the trail back to his chambers. He already knew the diagnosis. Hearing her sing at the ball played over and over within a loop in his mind. The expression on her face being a close second as the image of pure love and tenderness upon her features remained framed in gold upon the walls of his favourite memories. HIs hands! Oh, his hands! He had never felt so much energy, so much electricity flow through them as he remembered the feeling of her hands in his bare ones as they swayed together contentedly.
'She's a Fae.' He thought to himself, 'My queen is a Fae.'

NORMAL POINT OF VIEW

"You are a Fae, Bernadette." I looked at Emilie skeptically, knowing well that this could not be possible.
"But, I can't be! With everything they told me... The process can't be complete yet surely!"
"Oh, but it is." She handed me a mirror, showing me a different person on the other side. The first thing I noticed had to be my eyes. The colour was a brighter shade, almost as if there was more life in each eye. My hair had become longer, not by much but it was definitely noticeable. It was shinier, with all the curls in proportion and my skin was glowing.
"If I'm a Fae, can I still bare a child like a mortal?"
"That's what I'm getting to child."
Emilie paused and took my hand, that glowing smile returning to her features, "You will stop aging at 20 human years old. And, most Fae women have a lot of fertility issues but from the tests I carried out, you are definitely an exception to the rule." I found my eyes filling up with tears, tears of relief? I was unsure, but I knew I was definitely happy.
"Really?" I turned to face her, my cheeks beginning to hurt as my smile was the widest it had ever been in a long while. Emilie nodded, releasing my hand and assisted me in finding a more comfortable position to sit in. Silence filled the room as I happily wept, only to be broken by the soft voice of the healer.
"The king is on his way. I hear him."
