JARETH'S POINT OF VIEW
This morning had been frustrating to say the least. Jareth provided numerous comments towards the planners setting things up for the night, many being, "Move this slightly to the left," or "Nope. Get rid of it". If there was anything he was looking forward to right now, it would have to have been breakfast with his queen.
'His Queen'... He liked the sound of that. As he sat in his favourite chair within the Great Hall, he conjured up a crystal to relive the events of last night. To Jareth, last night was one of the happiest in his life. He'd finally been able to share a kiss with his queen and he'd heard her accept his proposal. The creak from the wooden doors opening quickly allowed him to dispose of the crystal before she entered.
NORMAL POINT OF VIEW
I pushed the doors open, smiling as I spotted Jareth in his usual spot.
"Good morning my King." He rose, gingerly taking my hand, and gently kissing the back of it.
"Good morning to you, my Queen." He slid the chair beside him out, waiting for me to sit in it before sliding it back in and returning to his spot. "You look absolutely ravishing." I felt my cheeks burn a not-so-modest shade of rouge, as I tried to cover them with my cold hands, "Don't hide your face from me, my sweet." Jareth paused, taking my hands off my face and caressing them with his, "You're beautiful." A smile crept across my face as I gazed back at him.
"And you, are quite handsome." He chuckled at my reply, as he motioned for two plates to be set in front of us. It looked like a very tasty English breakfast, but it smelt even more divine than in the Aboveground if this was even possible. "What's the plan for today?" I bit into my toast, the crunch reverberating off the walls.
"We finish setting up the throne room for our engagement party, then make preparations to be ready by six o'clock, and then we celebrate." He finished his peach, laying the seed in the middle of his now empty plate.
"Sounds great to me." I smiled eagerly, although nervously. The kingdom had known about Jareth 'forcing' a mortal into marriage, then believed even more rumours about said mortal becoming a Fae and being with Jareth for his wealth. I had to wait until tonight, not only to introduce myself as worthy of being Queen of the Goblin Kingdom, but to prove the rumours wrong.
I found myself in the gardens, roses all around me in so many different colours. Orange, pink, yellow, you name it. They were there. Everything was trimmed back to perfection, topiaries of varying shapes were centerpieces amongst hedges and even more roses surrounded a sparkling fountain. The perfume from the flowers was so magnificent, so aromatic, that it was almost as if it were a dream.
"You know, I shouldn't let you wander away so easily." I laughed as Jareth joined me, sitting beside me on the ledge of the fountain.
"And, why would that be?"
"Some other king might steal you away and make you his." His lips found mine, as his fingers caressed my collarbone. I gasped in surprise, letting him win the entrance easily as he dominated my mouth. It was getting hot. Unbearably hot. I fumbled with the ruffles on Jareth's poet shirt before he broke the kiss, a playful smirk appearing across his face after he gazed over the flushed mess that I am, "We don't want to start something that we can't finish do we?" I laughed, my face almost turning into the red roses beside us.
"If our wedding was tonight, maybe we could finish it?" I pondered.
"That can be arranged if you'd like darling?"
I had not realised I'd said my thoughts out loud. I expected Jareth to be joking, playing with me somewhat but his eyes were dead serious.
