CH 20: New Assignment

-Jaein's POV-

"Jaein ah... Jaein ah" I felt someone tapped my shoulder.

"O?" I shifted my sight and found Jaebum sitting beside me.

"You've been spacing out for a while" he weakly smile. "Is something wrong?"

"Aniyeyo, I'm just... A bit tired" I lied.

"Ya did you stay up last night?" Mark scolded me.

"A little" I replied making him playfully glare at me.

To be honest, my mind was occupied by Chanyeol since this morning. I can't figure out what's going on in my mind and why does my heart felt uneasy.

"Jaein" Seunghoon oppa came into to practice room.

"Ne?"

"Depyunim wants to meet us" he replied.

"Ah geurae?" I say as I stand up. "See you guys in a bit" i bid my goodbyes to the boys then walk out with seunghoon oppa.

When we arrive infront of the office, we knock first and was told to come in.

"Annyeonghaseyo depyunim" both of us bowed.

"Ah ne, anjaseyo" he replied while tidying the paper he just red.

"So..." He started. "I would like to say great job, especially you Jaein, on Got7 last comeback"

"Kamsahabnida" both of us answer.

"Got7's next comeback is scheduled next year and we will start doing the preparation in around maybe november" he continue. "But that is not the reason why I called you"

"So, Jaein" he called.

"Ne?"

"Seunghoon say you've been adapting really fast in the entertainment industry and you have done your job so well" he says making me turn to Seunghoon oppa.

He was smiling.

"So I was thinking... Twice's manager is absent for about a a month and their comeback is in 2 weeks, do you mind filling up for him?"

"No, I don't mind at all, but is it okay with you Seunghoon oppa?" I ask.

"It's fine by me" Oppa answers.

"Great then, you can start tomorrow, I'll let Jihyuk know and hopefully the both of you catch up with each other." Depyunim shake my hand. "Thankyou so much Jaein ssi"

"Ne, it's my pleasure depyunim" i bow.

With that we exchange our goodbyes and step out of his office.

"What if I messes up oppa?" I say as we exits.

"You'll be doing just fine Jaein" Oppa patted my shoulder.

"But..."

"You've been handling GOT7 very well, TWICE won't be a trouble to you, trust me"

"You think so?"

"I know so" he smiled and i smiled back.

We walk back to the practice room as Seunghoon oppa share some tips for me.

"Guys, I have an announcement" Oppa say as we enters the room. "Jaein will no more join us in..."

"NE?!" All of them shouted before bombing me with thousands of questions.

Yugyeom even cried already.

"You Guys!" I shouted shutting them up. "Oppa is not done yet, hear him out"

"Thankyou Jaein" Oppa let out a sigh. "As I was saying, she will not be with us for a while, just for a month"

"WHY?" They shouted again.

"She will be working with TWICE for the next 4 weeks, replacing their manager that is currently absent" oppa expalins while I was hugging Yugyeom trying to calm him down.

"Why it has to be you noona?" Jackson ask and I shrug my shoulder while weakly smile at him.

"What about us?" Jinyoung ask.

"You got Seunghoon oppa with you" I answers as I let go of Yugyeom.

All of them started pouting. "Come on guys, it's just for a month, it's not like I'm moving away or anything"

"But one month is so longggg" bambam whined.

"It is if you kept on pouting" I pinches his cheeks.

The room was filled with silence until a knock on the door broke it.

"Excuse me?" A man came in. "I'm looking for Shin Jaein?"

"Ah ne?" I walk towards him.

"Oh? Jihyuk ah!" Seunghoon oppa greeted. "Jaein this is Jihyuk TWICE's manager, Jihyuk this is Jaein" Seunghoon oppa introduces.

"Annyeonghaseyo" we bow to each other.

"Thankyou so much for replacing me Jaein ssi" He thanked me.

"Ah ne it's my pleasure" I smiled.

"Do you mind if I borrow Jaein for a while? I need to discuss a few things with her" Jihyuk ask Seunghoon oppa.

"Su..."

"ANDWAE" The boys scream, cutting oppa's sentence.

The boys was about to run to me when Seunghoon oppa held them back.

"Go ahead Jihyuk ah" He say in between his struggle holding back the boys. "Jaein, I'll see you later"

I can't help but chuckle at them. I felt sorry for Seunghoon oppa.

"See you guys later" I smile to them before exiting the practice room.

"NOONAAA" That was the last word I hear from them before finally leaving the room.

"They must've like you so much Jaein ssi" Jihyuk chuckles.

"Aniyeyo" I say shyly.

After an hour of explanations, me and Jihyuk parted. He was just reviewing about TWICE's upcoming schedule.

I was walking back to the practice room when I receive a phone call from Sehun.

"O maknae ya?" I answer.

"Noona are you free right now?" He ask.

"Not really, waeyo?"

"Oh I was thinking that we could go grab lunch together but if you're busy that's okay" he sound dissapointed.

"Aw don't be sad, how about instead of lunch, we go grab an afternoon coffee together?" I say trying to cheer him up.

"콜! I see you at 4.30?" He say cheerfuly.

"4.30 it is" I giggle. "By the way...where's Chanyeol?"

"He's practicing right now" Sehun's voice suddenly change. He sounded a bit down. Did I say something wrong?

"Ah geurae? Well... Okay then, I'll see you later" I replied. "Bye sehun"

"Bye noona"

With that we ended our call. I was busy closing my phone when I bump into someone making all the papers in my hand fall.

"Choisonghabnida" I apologize and bent down to pick up the papers.

"Are you okay?" A deep voice ask while helping me picks up the scattered paper.

I lifted my head up and found myself lost in thoughts.

"Miss, are you okay?" The figure speaks again.

"Ok Taecyeon" I mumbled.
