I finished all the classes for the day and was finally free to leave collage, go home and get some rest before going to work. I traveled home that afternoon walking quickly, it was a habit. I always wanted to get to places as fast as I could, I wasn't very patient when it came to reaching places and I always tried to invest all the time I could get in rest or studying since my schedule was tight. Walking, finally able to see my apartment. The sky blue, one story apartment that looked like a simple house was very easy to spot. The garden was in front of the apartment, the apartment door was on the right side and with having the sidewalk reach my front door, the garden stretched from the front door to the left borders of the apartment. It was fully patched with green grass that I mow every Saturday. Flowers planted around in a straight fashion around the garden and a white fence that was only one meter high was posted perfectly around the borders leaving a one meter wide opening in border to enter the garden. I loved nature and nicely done gardens as I loved working on gardens to make them beautiful as they always should be.
I got inside and let out a breath of stress and sat on the black leather couch facing my 32 inch TV and drowned watching nature shows. I thought of Rose, her smile, her eyes, the way she talked and the interest that filled her eyes. I slapped myself "snap out of it" I yelled. I had no time to think of girls or anything other than work and college. I couldn't afford letting anything distract me while my parents were counting on me to work hard and do good in collage. I have to give it all I got! I grabbed my things locked the door and went to work. I started working extra hard. I stacked things faster and did multiple things quicker. After a week of college, hard studying and extra hard working I received an e-mail from Walmart that informed me that I got a raise for hard work and effort. I layed down with a smile on my face, now I can save more money for a car and other important things that I needed. I wanted a nice new modern car and multiple things for the apartment seeing that it was practically almost empty and having a bigger salary would definitely help me out a lot!
I went out for a walk at night, the cold fresh air gave me energy to walk a thousand miles. I walked past many stores, shops, buildings and different places. I took a stroll in the park and finally sat down on a bench that was in front of the river. Watching the light glow on the reflection of the water as if there were stars under the blue water, every now and then a fish would fly out as if it searched for fishers as the moons shine reflected on its wet grey scales and dive back in relief.
I looked at my watch and startled in surprise to see it had become eleven PM and then remembered that tomorrow was a Saturday and exhaled in relief. I was walking back home when a unexpected shout tore through my ear as I entered an empty alley.
"Stop!"
I turned around to see a masked man in the shadows with something in his hand that was with no doubt a weapon.
"Do anything and I'll blow a hole straight through you!"
I did exactly as he said as he slowly walked towards me. He was slightly taller than me, had a normal body and wore blue jeans, a black sweatshirt, a pair of red and white shoes and a mask made from cloth with only an opening for him to see through. He came out of the dark shadows and revealed his gun pointing it straight at me. As soon as I saw it I felt my whole body start to shake, my throat felt soar and my body became heavy.
"What do you want!" I managed to spit out unable to hide the fear in my voice. Was it really time for me to die? It's my fault! Why didn't I look at the time earlier?! Why didn't I stay at home?! Having to die in this way made me feel helpless and paralyzed. My heart pounded against my chest as if it wanted to rip out of my body. I had to relax, maybe if I do what he says he won't kill me, at least ill be able to see my family again and finish my life.
"What do I want? I want you fucking dead that's what!" I felt as if I was going to faint. "But maybe I'll change my mind if you shut up and gave me all your money and forget you ever saw me!"
"Ok j-j-just take it easy." This was just great. I didn't think I'd need my wallet so I didn't bring it. How smart of me to leave home without money and even if I did have money on me, I don't think this guy will be satisfied with just a couple of dollars.
I reached slowly for my back pocket to pull out my wallet, even though I didn't have money maybe he'll believe me if I said I forgot my wallet, as if that would ever happen, I guess I just have to accept it, I can't think of anyway out of this.
"I don't have any money on me, I left my wallet at home just in case an idiot like you would come to try to steal it. I'd rather die than to give you anything you stupid thief!" If I was going to die than I'd rather die strong then to die afraid.
He aimed the pistol at me, from the fear it was as if everything had become much slower. I watched as he locked on to me with his weapon and accepted my fate. I closed my eyes and waited for death to come, I tried to move several times but any hard move I tried to make just failed. My body shaking and rattling and my heart beating as I heard him load the weapon. He touched the trigger and everything became black.
"Nighty night" he hissed with an evil voice.CLICK!
