Hello folks!

It's been mighty long hasn't it. But thanks for being patient and not asking me when the next update would be. This piece has been written a few lines at a time, as and when it was possible to do creative work. Hence the delay. But I'm sure you guys didn't mind. Also, thanks a ton for your lovely comments! So please keep them coming!

Anyway, coming to this update, "Maraasim" Literally means Relations. We more often than not state that we can't choose our relations (barring a few), that we are stuck with them. True story. But I say when you have no say in it, just accept it whole heatedly and don't expect anything. It's a win win. Sukoon ka sukoon and maraasim ke maraasim.

Right so the previous chapter saw Shravan and Suman burying the hatchet. Back at being friends. Their's is one relationship they possess, but there are a lot many more. Life goes fine when you can strike a balance. So this one will focus on relationships that both ShraMan have with their respective families. And I'd love to see your reactions! I deem it necessary for the future plot line to throw light on others too, so forgive me if you find ShraMan interaction a little lesser than usual. Also, assume a few weeks have passed since the apology... I won't be giving a time frame in the updates unless necessary. Progression from here on will pick up pace. ShraMan need to grow up ;) But don't worry it will take quite a few updates for that...

Okay! Let's get on with this!

MARAASIM

"Of course! Yes Berry your case is an open and shut. I'll handle it myself." Spoke Ramnath, flipping file pages, sipping coffee in his study.

"I'm sure Ramnath. Perks of having the best lawyer in the city as your friend include that you never lose a case.." chirped Berry.

Ramnath let out roaring laughter as he placed the file on the coffee table and ran his fingers across his forehead, "In that case, arrange for a party next week..." He said, confidently.

"Oh will do Ram! Win me this one in a day and we shall party." Mr. Berry agreed.

"Sounds great Berry. I'll get back to it."

"By all means." Stating Berry disconnected the call. Berry had been Ramnath's client for 2 years and having fought and won a number of cases for him, they now shared a more amicable relation. Ramnath had climbed the ladder of success too suddenly if not easily. His career had stagnated for years before it took off. He would never forget what his mentor had done for him. Had Raghuvansh Tiwari not held his hand at the right time, he would have lost everything. Thinking of those days when his family was complete, dysfunctional but complete made him weigh his losses. His wife was a cheat. He had to send his son away to protect him from the shadows of an infidel parent. It had been months and not once had she returned, not once had she called. He felt sorry for Shravan. The poor child worshiped the very ground his mother walked on. Given their fights gave her decision impetus, given that he asked her to leave and never return to snatch his son away, but at least she could have called. At least she could have asked how Shravan was doing. Her reckless negligence only served to cement his notions about her. How could she desert them like they never existed. Maybe if she apologised for her doings, just maybe, he would forgive her. Even if the chance was infinitesimal, he would, for his son's sake. Letting out a deep pained breath, Ramnath dug back into the file. He had to give the best of everything to his son, his Shravan deserved it all.
