Hello!
How is everyone doing?
I loved your comments on the previous part guys! So so happy you all loved it... When someone says it was poetry or touched their heart or the simple fact that there was connect, my dil goes Mmm Mmm Mmm...
I ended the last update with a promise, that of a leap. And I'm here to hold fort. ShraMan are all grown up. The time elapsed is about 4 years. Fresh graduates with dreams in their eyes will make this ride fun, I hope! If you think I'm done with cliffhangers and surprises, you my friend should stand corrected! Also, for any of you that might have doubts as to how Shravan, Suman and Pushkar are obtaining their degrees together, heads up, the education system and number of years hugely varies in India as opposed to abroad, hence.
Right so "Meyaar" has got to do with a standard, a level, a touchstone of sorts. Wondering why we are talking about this? Well, how else would you know about ShraMan and how Kaabil they are right now! I feel like a Karan Johar movie cause my brain is bubbling with wide angle shots of a hot and happening dude and slow-mo shots of a girl running towards the door in a saree, her cheeks putting roses to shame.. Don't worry, that's my brain. Too melodramatic and larger than life. This update however sticks true to the story and while there will be an explosion of changes, they will be very realistic.
Update is longer than usual, you were warned ;) And in here I share a piece of me too.. At the end of the update you will know which part was me!
Without much ado, here's presenting, "Meyaar".

MEYAAR
Class of 2011, the future of Law. He smiled at the thought, they did it. They survived Oxford and they could proudly tell the world that they were the true bred lawyers who could set in motion social reforms, business reforms, reforms of all sorts.
His smile faltered slightly for he couldn't spot his clan. He turned to his left and saw a huge crowd, squinting he tried harder. Looking to the other side he saw his father, beaming, talking animatedly to Eric's Dad. Next to him was Pushkar, pop-corn packet in one hand and blow horn in another. Shravan couldn't understand if Pushkar was here for the Graduation ceremony or a football match, Lalaji looked no less excited. Seated to his right was Nirmala Malhotra, his Mom. A serine look on her face drizzled with a hint of pride. She looked classy all dressed to her nines, she chose a saree, much to Shravan's delight. He loved it when his mother looked so motherly.
His mind drifted to the time where he was mad at her for having deserted them, he would be lying if he said it didn't bother him anymore. It did bother him, it hurt still but he had learned to live with it, he taught his heart the art of forgiveness and with each passing day, the pain he harbored, reduced. He now knew that one need not hurt because that was the only way to live life. One could let go and breathe free. His parents did make their own share of mistakes, he wouldn't carry the tradition forward. They lived separately but they weren't divorced, amicable to each other and ever so loving to him, he could live with that.
Panning his vision towards the bleachers for the students he found Eric fidgety at best, having an intriguing conversation with his mom and girlfriend. Shravan made his way towards the trio grinning all the while. "So? Aunt May, how do you like your daughter-in-law?" Asked he, engulfing her in a bear hug, throwing his hand around her from the back.
"Shravan.." Replied Eric's Mother, turning around to return the hug. "How is my son today?"
"I'm perfect.." He kissed the top of her head breaking the hug. Placing one arm around her he winked at Eric.
