As most people would expect, wedding planning is a task. One that has the calibre to hastily turn stressful and overwhelming. Shravan would have been pulling out his hair had it not been for the Wedding planning Co. spearheaded by a feisty British-Indian girl who went by her initial, K. Even though her parents christened her Kiara, she felt that it didn't have enough zest and zing. Her company was zest, zing, and a whole of a lot more and this is why she chose to shorten her name down to a single letter of the English alphabet. Shravan had been actively involved in the preparations. But if he was being completely honest, K was the one responsible for everything. From mapping out budgets to coordinating with vendors, meetings, and last minute details; she balanced it all with exemplary skill.

Even though the wedding was in Braemar at the Doyle Family residence, it was a feat to have every detail down to perfection. Amanda had fostered the dreams of a fairy tale wedding and Shravan wouldn't be the friend he was if he didn't give her exactly what she dreamed of. Suman had been lending a helping hand to Kiara with the catering. Given that she herself had tremendous experience in organizing, their team was a hit from the word go. Pushkar helped where he could and where he couldn't he tried his best to stay out of the way of two women on a mission.

The pre-wedding festivities had been a smooth and enjoyable ride. The wedding Sark had been exchanged earlier during the day. The Sark was quite similar to Shagun in Indian culture, where the groom's family gifts the bride the wedding outfit and jewellery to go along and the bride's family gifts the groom what he would be donning on the wedding. Amanda's gown was handmade from start to finish. A traditional Scottish enterprise had spun the yarn and 27 women had embroidered intricate patterns on the quintessential white dress. Eric was slated to wear a white shirt with a black bow tie and cardigan complimented by a kilt.

The Speerin was about to begin any moment and the excitement around the challenging tradition was palpable. The groom had to prove to his father-in-law that his strength and wit would enable him to take care of the bride. It involved a series of tasks and trials, winning which would be considered passing the test. Aditya explained to Kamini with vigour that it was similar to a Swayamvar. Even though Eric had won the hearts of his in-laws, traditions at weddings only added to the fan-fair. They had a few exceptions of their own, wherein not simply the groom, but the best man and groomsmen had to prove their worth as well. And to do that, Eric and the Malhotra boys were ready to battle it out with the men in the bride's family.
