Hey folks! I find myself apologizing more often than not. I try my best to give timely updates but I shit you not, life has gotten really busy. I wrote this update a few lines at a time to bring it to the finish line. All said and done, I hope you all like it.
Your comments on the previous part have me elated. Thank you so very much, it means a lot to me. I know, you'll will positively say not enough ShraMan, but I shall repeat myself, it is not just their story and I will focus on them, I promise. For now, here is Ba-dastoor, which essentially means unaltered. Sometimes in life, we look for an escape from monotony, on other instances, we would rather nothing changes. What do I mean by this? We shall shortly see.
#Countdown #4
The waiting area of the Heathrow airport was buzzing with passengers flying west. At this time of the day, it was common to see the steady influx of people flying to the extreme end of the world.
Eric's wedding had been solemnized a week ago and the wedding guests had all returned to their home countries. All but one. Aditya hadn't been cleared to fly given that his wounds had heavy chances of bleeding under cabin pressure. Now that he had finally received the nod from his doctor, he was returning to the States.
He had one last semester to complete his degree and he was confused as to his future. He wanted to head to India and join their family business of exports. But with Divya in the equation, he didn't wish to leave New York and settle elsewhere. There were times when he even considered moving closer to Shravan. He had always craved for a family and in spite of the fact that he loved all the Malhotra's like his own, he was closer to Shravan on all counts and would rather find solace in him.
His brother never gave up on him, no matter how strained their relationship was doomed to be. They found an even ground and miraculously worked through their issues to reach a point where they could trust each other with their lives.
"Here, chai tea, just the way you like it." Shravan smiled, taking the seat adjacent to him. "How's the leg?"
"Perfect." He nodded lightly.
"And? What's bothering you?"
Aditya sipped the tea slowly and shifted in his seat. "You aren't just accompanying me because you're worried about my health, are you?"
"No." He grinned widely.
"Bhaiya? Don't."
"Don't what?" He shrugged unabashedly.
"You know what I'm talking about."
"Elaborate." Taking a leisurely sip of his warm beverage he wriggled his eyebrows.
Aditya looked away with a sigh. He knew it the moment he had told Shravan that he would intervene. There could never be a possibility that Shravan wouldn't take the lead in his love life and try to move any mountain necessary to bring Aditya his happiness. "She doesn't want it to be like this."
