"Lovelies? Is anyone up to go over to Lindsey's tonight? She's having a get together. A few drinks, music, dancing?" Scott looked at his boyfriends with a questioning look on his face.
It was a few days later and the triad was sitting in the living room with coffee snacks and their phones in their hands.
"I would love to, but I shouldn't" Mitch spoke up. "I mean don't get me wrong, I love Lindsey's get togethers, but I have this scratchy feeling in my throat. I don't think that it's going to be a full on cold or flu, yet I need to be in good vocal shape, with all the studio sessions coming up, so an evening full of dancing and belting is probably not the best decision."
"Mmmhm... understandable" Scott said, yet there was a slight pout on his face. "What about you, Avi?"
"I think I'll pass as well..." Avi said. "Someone has to make sure that Mitchy will be alright."
"Oh if you want to you should go, Avi" Mitch quipped. "It's always a lot of fun."
"No, it's okay, I don't really feel like going out, I believe that it is going to be a lot of fun, but not tonight." He shrugged his shoulders. "Maybe next time..."
"Maybe next time we can all go together" Mitch pondered.
"Yeah, maybe... who knows" Scott said defensively. "Anyway, so about tonight..."
"You should go, Scott. They are your best friends, you go and have a great night out with them" Mitch pointed out.
"Okay..." Scott said. "I will." He smiled up at Mitch and Avi, before he focused back on his phone to type a reply to his friend.
A few hours later, Scott was upstairs, getting ready for his night out while Avi and Mitch were still sitting on the sofa. Avi had his notebook on his lap and was replying to a few emails and Mitch was scrolling through Twitter, replying to a few postings here and there.
"Mitchy?" Avi spoke up after a while. "I was wondering..."
"Yeah, Honey?" Mitch looked up and immediately noticed the smirk on his boyfriend's face. "What have you been wondering about?"
"Well, you said that you weren't up for an evening full of dancing and belting out songs, but how about going out for dinner and a walk on the beach?" Avi then asked. "I know a very good restaurant."
Mitch only thought about this for a split second before he nodded. "Definitely. That sounds lovely."
"Great it's a date. I'll make reservations for eight, we need to leave at around 7.15 then?" Avi asked, already getting out his phone.
"Mmhm, that's a nice time. I might need to get ready to go out then, though, I look, feel and smell horrible" Mitch said, slowly getting up.
"You don't" Avi said curtly, but with a smirk on his face. He knew better than to argue with his boyfriend, so he just leaned up for the obligatory kiss when Mitch walked past him and then called the restaurant.

At 7.10, Mitch was ready to go. He was wearing white pants together with a blue blouse and a white long blazer. After he had checked himself in the mirror once more, he went downstairs to where Avi was already waiting.
"Wow... you're looking good" Avi said as soon as he had taken one look at his boyfriend. "White suits you."
"Thank you" Mitch replied. "And you're handsome."
"Thank you" Avi said. "Shall we go? There's some really good seafood waiting for us."
"Yeah, definitely" Mitch put on his shoes and waited for Avi to do the same before they left the house together and got on the car.
