"So... what can we expect tonight?" Avi asked when the he and Scott were just putting finishing touches to their outfits.
"Where? At the party?" Scott asked.
"Yeah" Avi returned. "I mean, who will be there? Do we have something to keep in mind? How close can we be to each other? That kind of stuff, you know?"
Scott chuckled. "That's a lot of questions" he replied. "Now, I don't want you to worry, Sweetie. There won't be that many people, only my family, a few close friends and colleagues of my parents and well... that's it. Most people know about us. But if we like... maybe not make out right on the dancefloor. There also might be questions, at least I assume that."
"Of course" Avi returned as he fixed his hair up in a neat bun. He wanted to add something, but in that moment the door opened and Mitch stepped outside, all dressed up.
"Will you take me out like this?" The smaller man asked with a grin on his face.
Scott chuckled. "You, my dear, look gorgeous."
"You know that we would take you out not matter what, Mitchy" Avi added. "But Scott's right, you look stunningly beautiful tonight." He stepped over to him and pressed a soft kiss on his temple.
"Boys? Are you ready to head out?"
When Mitch heard the voice of his father booming through the house, he cleared his throat. "Yes, Dad, just a moment" he called back.
"You ready, boys?" He then turned to Avi and Scott, smirking as he stretched out his hands. "Let's go!"

Once they arrive at the party, the triad greeted first Rick and Connie and then turned to the rest of Scott's family. What surprised them was that none of them asked questions about their relationship. They just smiled and exchanged kind words.
"Uncle Tott!"
Scott turned around from where he was talking to his aunt and his smile grew. "Landon!" He opened his arms and caught his nephew in his arms, lifting him up immediately. "Hi, cutie!"
"Hello Uncle Tott" Landon repeated.
"How are you, Buddy?" Scott asked.
"Good. Mum said that I can stay up as long as I want today" Landon replied. "So we can play a lot. Will you play with me?"
Scott chuckled. "Definitely" he returned. "We'll have a lot of time after dinner."
"Yaaay. Can Mitch and Avi play, too? Mum said that you love them like she loves Daddy. So they can play, too."
Scott laughed at that. "Your Mum is right, I love them. But I don't know if they want to play. Do you want to ask them?"
"Yes, please" Landon said. "Are they nice?"
"They are very nice" Scott said to Landon, before he walked up to Avi and Mitch, who were talking to his parents. "Mitchy, Avi? I want you to meet someone."
The two men turned around and smiled when they saw Landon.
"Hello, Landon, nice to see you again" Mitch, who already knew him, greeted.
"Hi, Mitch" Landon greeted. "Hi, Avi."
Avi smiled kindly. "Hello, little fellow."
"Can we all play together after dinner? Uncle Tott said I could ask you."
Avi and Mitch looked at one another and then at Scott for a split second before they both nodded. "Sure, it's a date" Mitch spoke up.
"Yes, definitely, we'd love to play a few games with you, Landon" Avi returned with a huge smile on his face.
