When Avi woke up the next morning, he was lying comfortably in Scott's arm. With the bright morning light streaming into the room from the not fully closed curtains, he could see that the tall blonde was still sleeping soundly. He could also see Mitch, who was curled up against Scott's other side, a slight smile grazing his features as he stirred momentarily, before settling down again with a sigh.
Avi stayed in the moment until he definitely needed to get up and use the bathroom. Carefully, he wounded himself out of Scott's arms and scurried over to the en suite, where he took care of his business and then quickly combed through his mane and tied it up in a loose bun. When he was finished, he decided to not stay up and have a cup of coffee out on the patio. So he just put on a pair of boxer briefs and his bathrobe, took his phone and left the room, not without looking over to his boyfriends once more. They were still out, which didn't surprise him with the fun they had the night before.
With a fond smile on his face, he made his way downstairs and was surprised when he heard noise from the kitchen. Of course he knew that it was his sister, but he hadn't thought that she would be up already.
"Good morning, Esther" he greeted her.
"Oh, hey, Avi" she greeted back, smiling at him brightly. "Why are you up already?"
"I woke up and needed to go to the bathroom and decided to stay up" Avi replied. "And why are you up and cleaning up the dishes we used yesterday?"
"I just turned on the coffee machine and decided to use the time to do something nice" she explained as she dried up the last of the glasses and put it away. She then turned back around to her brother. "So... do you want a cup of coffee as well? I had planned on sitting outside on the patio for a while."
Avi chuckled. "Oh Esther, you truly are my sister, I had the exact same idea" he pointed out as he turned to the coffee machine and prepared two cups of coffee, handing one to his sister afterwards. They went outside together in silence and sat down on the bench on the patio.
"Did you get to celebrate a little bit, yesterday?" Esther asked.
Avi smiled happily and nodded. "Yeah" he replied. "We had wine, chocolate, cheese and a lot of cuddles..."
"And a hot threesome?"
"Esther!" Avi widened his eyes at the blunt question coming from his sister.
"What?" Esther grinned at him. "I'm just curious!"
"I know, but you never asked me about my sex life before. It was always off limits and I'd rather keep it that way!"
"I'll ask Mitchy then" Esther said, brushing the topic off with a grin and a simple shrug of her shoulders. "But anyway, Avi. We haven't really talked on our own ever since you told me everything and I just want to know how you are feeling after the roller coaster these past days have been."
Avi took a sip of his coffee while he was listening to his sister's question, knowing his answer would be an easy one. "I'm feeling amazing" he replied. "You are right, it was an emotional roller coaster we all went through. I was feeling really down when Mum and Dad just left the one evening and well, Mitch was there for me, just as Scott was. They were so amazing. And then there was yesterday when we had lunch together and when Dad told me that he was proud of me for standing up for what I feel and it just... makes me emotional to think about it, to think about how thankful I am for this life with my family and my boyfriends. It's all coming together now and... it feels so right."
Esther smiled at her little brother. "I can see that, Avi, I can see it so clearly and it makes me happy." She leaned in and laid her head down on his shoulder. "My little brother is in a happy, polyamorous relationship. Life is crazy..."
