Chloe couldn't stand being away from Ethan any more second. She would always tell him that she was okay, that them being apart was okay. When in reality, Chloe would cry herself to sleep, her heart aching worse than ever because it needed to beat in sync with Ethan's again.
Ethan wanted to see her happy, to make her heart happy. That wasn't quite possible being at the other end of the earth.
Chloe texted Ethan, like most of the day, when he didn't respond for more than twenty minutes. It was weird because he would text back as soon as possible, always in the matter of a few minutes, when he wasn't asleep of course. Chloe slightly worried, not knowing what was wrong. Worst case scenarios filled her head and the worst; her boyfriend being hurt.
Their previous conversation was about that Chloe was attenting a wedding on the next day and she joked around with Ethan, asking him to be his plus one. Of course it was obvious to Chloe that he couldn't be there with her tomorrow. The chat seemed pretty light and nice to Chloe, so she asked herself what she could've done wrong.
So she texted him again, again and again, until tears started to form in her eyes. For him, in Los Angeles, where she assumed him, it was only about ten in the morning. For Chloe it was six p.m. and in her case it could've been more possible that she fell asleep.
Ethan never slept in that long.
I'm worried sick, Ethan, please answer me, she typed out, hitting the send-button and closing her eyes. If something had happened to him she wouldn't know what to do.
In fact, she wouldn't know at all; because all of their relationship was based on digital communication.
But Ethan's twin brother Grayson would tell her if something happened, right?
Just in case he wasn't hurt as well ...
In the exact moment she opened her eyes again she saw a message coming in.
I'm alright, baby, please never worry about me, he had sent and a smile spread across Chloe's face. I just had to sort something out with Grayson, it's all good now though.
Lots of hearts were sent afterwards and Chloes heart swelled up. She exhaled a deep breath and typed back, saying it was okay if nothing happened to him after all.
The rest of Chloe's evening consisted of texting Ethan, watching some of her favourite TV-show and scrolling through social media. She informed various internet friends and group chats that she was going to hit the pillow and sent Ethan some last goodnight-messages.
Goodnight baby, I love you. Talk to you when you wake up, have sweet dreams beautiful, he sent and Chloe went to bed with a smile, knowing she had the best boyfriend of the world.

When Chloe woke up stress took upon her. She had very little time to get ready because she decided sleep was more important and hurried into the shower. Time to text Ethan was of course there though. Half an hour later she was ready to go. She was dressed very comfortable but graceful at the same time in a light purple dress; deciding the occasion was worth a dress, her long hair was done beautifully and her face wore just the slightest bit of makeup to enhance her natural beauty. With one last glance into the mirror she left the house with her family. Actually she was quite satisfied with how she looked and smiled a little. She couldn't help but thought to herself what Ethan would say if he was there.
They drove to the church and sadness washed over Chloe. It was depressing that Ethan couldn't be there but it was just impossible and she had to get over it.
Soon she walked into the church where the ceremony would be held. Slowly she walked down the aisle and imagined herself getting married one day. The feeling was overwhelming and she quickly took a seat at the front. No need to become emotional, she said to herself.
