Ch.14: Summer Vacation (pt.1)

Beth's pov:

It's the first day of summer and I, the twins, and Kathrine are going to California with the rest of the guys." Road Trip! "The twins shouted, me and Kathrine rolled our eyes while I compared them to a couple of 5 year olds." Again" I said with a slight chuckle. "Again" the twins mumbled under their breath. I and Catharine chuckled a bit as I put in my headphones and started listening to: Lights by Ellie Goulding.

The ride lasted for at least 14 hours in the car, listening to country music, telling boring stories, and trying to make each other laugh. I had a good time, even though nothing really happened, but at least we got to have some brothers and sisters time. When we got to Cali, Cory and Coby ran out singing "WE'RE HERE LOS ANGELS, CALIFORNIA. WE'RE HERE" As they did so, they heard snickers coming from me and Catharine's mouths. So the twins turned around and ran towards me and Catharine. Cory picked me up, and Coby picked Catharine up. Cory wrapped his arms around my body and tried to tickle me. I laughed and tried to squeeze out of his grasp, but you know that never works with a Cotton Twin. Cory tightens his grasp around me, making me laugh even harder. Coby did the same thing to Catharine and she got the same reaction as I got. The twins had a race towards the door of our motel and Coby won by an inch. "I won!" COBY shouted. I chuckled and shook my head, they will never stop being compared to five year olds will they? Nope. Cory shook his head and crossed his arms over his chest in anger. Me and Catharine passed the twins and walked into the motel. The motel walls were a tan/green color, with a small TV, two beds, a night stand in the middle, and a tiny bathroom, and refrigerator. I ran towards the bed and jumped on it. I was super tired, and it was the 4th of July weekend. I, Catharine, The Twins, and The Rest of The Guys were going to the beach to pop some fireworks tonight, and I was super tired out. Luckily it was only 1:00pm and we were going to the beach at 7:00. "Get some sleep people, because we are going to be out all night tonight!" Cory screamed in excitement. I groaned and rolled my eyes, when Cory said "All Night" he meant "All Night". We weren't leaving till Monday, and it was only Friday, so I think I'll enjoy it here. "Let's go!" Cody screamed as he walked through the pale white door. I shook my head as I said "Tonight Codes! ". The twins slowly nodded their heads in sadness, since they wanted to pop the fireworks now. I shook my head once last time before closing my eyes, and falling asleep.

Garrett's pov:

It was 7:00 at night and everyone was on the beach ready for some fireworks." I'm excited! "Beth screamed." Me too" the twins screamed in agreement. I chuckled as I slowly rolled my eyes and waited for the fireworks to pop into the night sky. Soon the fireworks flew into the sky as they made a giant popping sound. The popping filled my ears and they started ringing. I looked over at everyone and they were having an awesome time. The siblings were screaming, the guys were yelling, and I was laughing from all the fun I was having. I never wanted this moment to end. Ever

The fireworks were done and everyone wanted to walk along the beach. Beth fell asleep in Cory's arms, so he had to carry her. Catharine fell asleep in Coby's arms, so the twins had to carry both their sisters. The moon light reflected off of their hair, making their hair all Gilmour's and shiny. I walked along the beach as the waves slowly shorted and washing the sand with the blue salty water, as they were being washed away, the water made my feet sink into the deep wet sand. The clouds were spread out as the moon took the spotlight and shined in the beautiful night sky. Man it looked pretty. And I'm glad I made it out here. Happy Fourth of July to me.
