The Little Sister

Ch.3

Annabeth's pov:

Me and my mom stared out the glass window as we watched my brothers and her husband drive off. Tears started to stream down my face as the car disappeared down the road. I thought to myself, would I ever see them again, would I ever be happy again? Probably not. I ran up to my room with tears in my eyes. I locked the door behind me and jumped onto my bed. I hugged my pillow as I screamed into it. I heard a knock at my door a minute later. "Annabeth?" My mom asked through the door. I didn't answer her, I just continued to sob into my pillow. I heard my mom sigh and walk back down stairs. I lay down onto my bed and curled up into a ball and eventually fell asleep.

Flashback:

"HEY YOU CHEATED!" Coby screamed. "You wish I did!" Cory screamed back. "Uh. No I don't actually!" He added. I rolled my eyes. The twins just finished a battle and Coby believes that Cory cheated even though he didn't." LET'S ASK BETH THEN!" Cory screamed. Suddenly both of the twin's eyes were on me. "Hey, I'm not in this" I said raising my hands up. The twins both rolled their eyes and continued fighting. I knew they weren't really mad at each other, I just knew they wanted to always see me smile.

End of flashback:

I woke with a start, I just had a dream that we were little kids again and that Coby and Cory were "fighting" over who won a battle. I started to sob, I missed the twins and I couldn't be without them, even for one minute. I needed them. I ran down stairs to check on my mother. I didn't see her, so I went up to her room and found her sleeping, so I went to my room got out my suitcase and packed clothes, shoes, and toys. I grabbed my phone and called Cory, I wanted to hear his voice again.

Coby's pov:

I was awakening from my dream when Cory started talking to someone on his phone. Who could be calling him at 3:00 in the morning? "Alright. Totally! Alright, love you, bye!" Cory said as he hung up the phone. "Guess who that was!" Cory said excitedly. "Annabeth!" I said hoping it was her. Cory nodded, my face lit up and I danced around the room but suddenly forgot we were in the house of our uncle and everyone was sleeping. "So? What did she say?!" I asked Cory with excitement. "She said that we can meet her outside the house, she said she's packing right now!" Cory said with a smile. Me and Cory decided to get our suitcases and filled them with our clothes and toys. After packing, me and Cory sunk down stairs quietly trying not to wake anyone up. We headed towards the door and opened it softly and softly shut it behind us as we left the house. Me and Cory put our suitcases in the back of the car and drove off to the house.

It took about two and a half hours to get to the house, but we finally made it. We saw Annabeth waiting for us inside. As soon as she saw us exiting the car, she quietly shut the door and ran towards us. "COBY, CORY!" She shouted with excitement. I and Coby chuckled as she leaped into our arms. "We missed you too !" I said still chuckling. She let go of us and walked towards the back of the car to open the trunk. She opened the trunk and threw her suitcase into the back of the car and shut it. " Well? Where are we even going to go?" She asked us. A smirk appeared on my face. " Annabeth. We're headed to Dallas, Texas". I said as we climbed into the car. Annabeth sat in the back, so I decided to sit in the front and Cory can sit on the back with her for an hour and then we could switch places. I told Cory and he agreed. So then I started the car and drove us off into the night.
