Ch.18: Happy Birthday

Cory's P. O. V

I woke up to the sound of things being made in the kitchen. I and my brother got up to go see what it was. We peeked down stairs to see Catharine and Beth making a cake that says "Happy Birthday Twins! " There were blue, white, and red streamers everywhere; even there was a banner that said "Coby and Cory". We both chuckled as we made our way down stairs. We stood in front of the guys as they leaped into our embrace. "Happy Birthday" Beth whispered in my ear. "Thanks". They both smiled at us as Catharine handed a cake to me and my brother. Me and Coby grabbed plates, napkins, and forks to eat.

"So. Where do you guys want to go for your B-Day?" Beth asked. "Nowhere. I just want to stay with my family" I said with a smile. Catharine, Coby, and Beth all made "Aww" faces as I let out a chuckle. Beth set her stuff in the trash and came back as she laid her head in my lap. I smiled as I covered her with a blanket and fell asleep.

Catharine's P. O. V

Since Beth and Cory were asleep, I and Coby decided to have some fun. "Let's play devil in the dark". Coby nodded as I explained the rules to him. " So basically it's kind of just hide and seek, but there is usually one devil and two survivors. But since twin number two and Beth are asleep, there is going to be one survivor. So the devil has to find the survivors in the dark. So basically hide and seek in the dark" I explained. Coby nodded as he said "I'm devil". A chill went down my spine as he said that, but I tried to forget about it. We turned off all the lights and agreed that we were going to play upstairs only. I ran upstairs to find a hiding spot before I texted Coby that I'm ready. I ran into Beth's room and hid under her bed. I texted Coby that I was ready to play as I heard heavy footsteps coming from the hallway. First he checked in his room, looked in there and walked out. He checked in my room and the bathrooms, which I wasn't in. My heart started racing as he walked towards Beth's room. He step in and jumped on the bed to see if anyone was under there, which I was. I tried not to make a sound as he walked into Beth's bathroom. He came out of the bathroom and looked under her bed. My heart skipped a beat as a smirk appeared on his face. Coby pulled me out from under the bed and walked me down stairs. "Whacha guys doing?" Cory asked. "Playing devil in the dark". "Well then let's play" he said

Beth's P. O. V

I hid in my closet as the twins tried to find me and Catharine. I heard footsteps walk in to my room as I saw it was Cory. My eyes widen and my heart skipped a beat. He looked under my bed, in my bathroom, and walked towards my closet. My heart pounded out of my chest as he opened the closet to find me in there. He dragged me out of my room and down stairs to find Coby holds Catharine with her hands behind her back. They both smirked at each other as Coby said "now we have to punish you two". I and Kathrine eyes widen as the twins had smirks on their faces. So the twins dragged me and my older sister to separate rooms and threw us on separate beds. The twins shut both doors as Cory turned and climbed on me. He moved his fingers up and down my waist as I burst out laughing. When she was done, he laid his head on my chest and fell asleep.
