Ch.29: Present In Paradise

Cory's P. O. V

I woke up to the sound of Beth screaming at me and Amy to get up. "Bubba! Amy! It's Christmas day! Coby's already down stairs! Hurry! "She shouted with excitement. A chuckle escaped me and Amy's mouth as we both rolled out of bed and walked down stairs. Coby was already down stairs like Beth had said, drinking some eggnog and watching a Christmas movie. "Merry Christmas you two" He greeted us. I smiled and greeted him back with the same thing. I plopped down on the couch next to him as he handed me a cup of eggnog. I thanked him as I took a sip of the hot eggnog. "When will the other guys be here?" I asked. Coby shrugged his shoulders as he showed me a text Ty sent him just now.

Tyler: Hey I and the others will be there around 10 or 11.

Cobes:
OK, Core was starting to ask that.

Tyler: Alright, see you at 10

Cobes:
See you

When the guys and girls got here, there were presents in each hand. "Finally you guys are here "Beth said. I nodded as everyone took a spot on the couch and put the presents on the floor. "Alright Kids, let's open some presents" Ty said which caused quite a chuckle from everyone.

Presents were opened and "thank yous" filled the room. Laughs and giggles softly escaped everyone's mouths. Smiles were put on everyone's faces, including mine. Now we were going to the Christmas parade in town. Cars would drive by and throw you candy, beads, and other thing. So kind of like Mardi Gras. We lined up at the main road in town and sat on the curb until the cars drove by. Cops cars, people in floats, and people in regular cars came by throwing lots of candy and beads. Some even threw their sunglasses or tiaras if they were a girl. Either way, it was fun. And it was the best, Christmas ever.
