ChiChi's P.O.V

I pin my hair up after brushing a leaf out of it. The scent of fall lingers in the air, the crisp and satisfying smell of leaves and moist, damp Earth hit me in the face almost instantly. I can feel the dew through the blanket I've laid out underneath me, and I sort of regret laying it in the middle of an open, grassy area. A small and swift breeze sends chills through me, making me shiver in a very awkward way. The sky is a pale blue, and I can already tell that it was going to rain today. Just the joys of fall, huh?

My body twitches as I move, standing tall with my arms extended upwards. A smile pulls on the corners of my mouth as I bend down, picking up the white and purple picnic blanket. Lifting it up, I take note of all the stains and dirt marks on it, even insects squished into the fabric. Cringing, shaking it, and folding it up, my eyes travel to a long dirt path. The trees hide it well, but an opening where leaves and branches have been cut now make it almost obvious. A smile comes to my face, and I look as a few birds fly in between the trees and through the branches.

My reasoning for coming out here is quite simple, yet it hurts to really think about. Goku, the person who I thought was really the love of my life, decided to leave and never return. He is still alive, still healthy and fine, but apparently fighting is so much more important than love an family. I don't even want to bother staying in that house. That's where so many memories me and Goku had together.

I let out an angry sigh, tightly shutting my eyes to rid any tears. "Who does he think he is? We have two kids. Gohan and Goten... I hope they're handling this divorce better than I am..." I mumble, walking through the dirt path. I'm going somewhere. I don't know where, but I'm going there. A part of me wishes this trail leads to a city somewhere, or a village of sorts. I want to go home, though. I want to remember Goku, think of him all the time and hope he changes his mind. What if it does happen? What if he changes his mind and all this worrying is for nothing?

My thinking is cut short by a loud honk. When I snap back to reality, I notice where I am. East City. I smile and walk out onto the sidewalk, noticing that a few people seem startled that I just popped out of the woods. I ignore the odd stares and begin to walk. I'm hungry and could really go for coffee and some sort of pastry. Hopefully, I can find a Cafe or something close to it around here somewhere. If not, I might as well go back home.

I begin to walk faster, my pace quickening at the sight of a Coffee Shop advertisement. I smile and begin to walk in the direction of the shop. My eyes scan the streets, that's when I see the logo of the shop, making smile and quickly cross the street, almost dropping my blanket.

Your P.O.V.

I sigh softly, my eyes struggling to stay open. I woke up too early to come to work today, and I didn't even have time to shower. I smell and look like I literally crawled out from the depths of Hell. I make myself snicker, and I look up as the little bell above the door rings. A woman with black hair walks in, her purple, yellow lined dress going down to her boots. She looks friendly, to say the least, and kind of cute. She walks up the counter and smiles. I smile back, mostly because I don't want to get scolded by my manager about being rude to customers.

"Hi, and welcome to Gloria Jean's Coffee! What could I get for you today?" I ask cheerfully.

The woman looks at the menus above my head, putting a finger on her chin and tapping it there softly. "How about a medium Lokoa Cocoa Mocha and a blueberry muffin, please." I look at her as she orders. This woman smells like dirt, my mind says to me. Though, for some reason, she also smells of grass, tree bark, and the odd smell of morning. It's almost relaxing. "(Y/n)?" I hear her silky voice say, and I immediately snap out of my daze. Not questioning how she knew my name, only because it is on my uniform.
