My head feels heavy, and it feels like it's been bashed in. Though, sadly, it hasn't been. Maybe tonight, I say in my head. Maybe after I finish my biology, I'll head to the gym. Why not? Not like work needs me today. I then sigh, scribbling in my notebook as my professor talks about something related to grammar.

Work. The only good part about my life. Not only does it give me a chance to make my own money, but I get to work beside some of the smartest people. The Brief family. The most intelligent family on the face of planet Earth, most likely. I want to be an engineer, and they have taught me so much about everything related to engineering. Mostly how to build stuff and put it back together. There, I meet some of the best people. I even had the honor of meeting Bulma's husband and son. All of them, amazing people.

Suddenly, everyone gets up all at once, only a few kids remained seated. Mostly the nerds of the class. I guess you could consider me as a nerd, though. I finally finish my notes, and throw my notebook into my bag, zipping it up and slinging it over my shoulder. Sliding my phone into my light (f/c) hoodie. I would slide it into my jeans pocket, but the only real pocket has a hole in it. I begin to walk out of class, turning the corner to walk into the poorly lit hallway. This part of school is kinda crappy because only one set of lights are on. Well, one row of lights. It makes it so only one side of the hallway is lit up, as to where the other is darkened. It does kind of bother me, but it doesn't drive me too insane.

Suddenly, my phone begins to ring, causing me to jump a little in surprise. Taking it out of my hoodie pocket, I note that it's Bulma, my boss. "Hello," I say happily into the phone.

"Hello, (Y/n), this is Bulma. I need you to be in at 4:30 today instead of 5:00," She says. "One of the machines has stopped working, and it'll take about six hands to fix it."

I gasp. "What machine?"

"Not sure. I believe it could be something for the capsule's labels because they keep getting mixed up." She laughs.

I pass a clock, seeing that it is three thirty. School ends at three forty-five. "Alright, well may I ask how you discovered the problem?"

Bulma remains quiet for a good thirty seconds before answering. "People who bought or ordered anything from our last batch of capsules complained about the capsule being labeled wrong. Someone said that they went to put a boat in the water and ended up sinking an entire house." She sighs and I hear paper flipping, most likely her going through notes, books, or files of important documents.

I can't help but snicker, now opening up my locker to see a neatly arranged line of books and other school materials. "Well, that certainly isn't good," I say, putting some stuff away in the locker. I take a second to think about how I'm going to get there. "Alright, well I'll definitely get there by then." I say cheerily into the phone.

Bulma lets out a loud, probably tired breath. "Awesome. There are a few more friends I'd like you to meet when you're here." She says, and I hum a laugh. "Alright, well, I'll let you go. See ya'!" I don't get a chance to say anything back to her before she hangs up. I smile and shake my head, putting my phone in my backpack. I think about everything I need to work on after my job, hoping that I won't have to work until midnight.

The length of my shift begins to make me think about the clothes I'm currently in. The thought of working until midnight in shorts and a tight hoodie makes me cringe and roll my eyes. I shoot Bulma a text and ask her if it's ok if I were to run home and change. But, after sending the message, I realize that I live way too far to be able to drive from here, to my house, then to CC. I then cancel the text, sending her that I lied and wasn't going to do that. She only sends the well-known acronym. So, as much as I hate to say it, I'm going to have to work in what I'm in.
