Darkness: Zane~Chan Fanfic

Garroth LOVES doors

A/N:  Recently I've been obsessed with Imagine Dragons and thought that this song suited Zane in this fanfic.  Like seriously suited him.

Garroth POV

I saw where Kawaii~Chan was pointing and she was right, there were stairs going underground to what looked like a subway station.  Kawaii~Chan headed down with me and Dad following behind her. 
The staircase had an eerie vibe.  Cobwebs covered the ceiling and there were cracks in the stone steps.  I didn't like this place, but I had to save my baby brother.  I shivered, not only because it was really cold, but because I was scared for Zane, he had to live in constant fear.

Zane POV

Pain spread all over my body.  Zach would be sorry for messing with us, or he would be if I could control it and if I wasn't so drained.  I felt sick to my stomach and could feel my face get paler.  I struggle to get up but I fall back on my face.  This sucks.  I turn my head to look at Zach.  He's smiling at my pain, I wish I had pain to show him. 
I gritted my teeth, "You *breaths heavily* won't get away with this!"
Magic hurts more than just being thrown down.  I have been throw down multiple times in highschool so I should know.  The magic feels like my insides are on fire. 
"Oh Zane, I don't think you truly understand, I already have," he smirks at me.
I look to see how Vlyad is handling the pain but he's unconscious.  I take another big gulp of air.  Why is this only the second most painful thing I've experienced? Then I remembered almost losing Nana.  Geez, why does everything seem to happen to our friend group? Aphmau almost drowning, her and Aaron almost broke up, Aphmau, Lucinda and I were all under the forever potion affects, Aaron almost died, Nana was catnapped, I got "blessed" with a demon and now Vlyad and I are trapped in a tiny cage. 
"Life is great! All these great new experiences! Boy am I lucky!" I think to myself sarcastically.

Kawaii~Chan POV

I think I heard something down in the subway station.  At tines like these I am glad to have kitty ears.
"This way! I heard something!" I start walking in one direction.  But it lend to a dead end, or did it?
"Are you sure you heard it coming from here?" Garroth asked.
I shushed him, trying to listen for a sarcastic voice. 
I heard it! I know I did! I look at a vent that was very conveniently located where I could barely reach it.  I tug at the thingy covering the entrance to it and crawled inside.
"Um Kawaii~Chan? First of all, I'm not completely sure if you're going the right direction.  And two, we can't fit in there," Garroth looked at me.  I could tell he was doubting my senses.
"Find another way to him.  If we all go the long way, it may be to late," I freaked Garroth and Mr. Ro'Meave out when I said that but it was the truth, and the truth had to be said.

Zane POV

I can feel my eyes getting heavy but I try to keep them open.  I clenched my stomach.  The pain seemed to increase tremendously. 
If I make it out of this alive I want a cupcake.
What? If I make it out alive?

I was hearing voices, congratulations Zane, you're going insane.

Or inZANE

Why does the voice think it's time to be punny? I'm delusional.

Ok now I'm definitely going crazy, because I swear I saw Nana crawl out of a vent.  I felt lightheaded trying to pick my head off the ground.

Kawaii~Chan POV

I saw Zane lying on the cage floor looking paler than ever.  Then I noticed someone with brown hair and a green scarf.  Was that Vlyad? He looked um dead.  And Zane looked like he was about to die.  His hair wasn't covering his demon eye and his blinking was slow.  Very slow.  I felt a lump in my throat.

Garroth POV

Dad and I were racing around trying to find where Zane was.  I chocked back tears, could it be to late? I saw a single room with a single door.  Gah! I hate doors! I broke it down and saw a hallway of doors.  I could feel Zane's sarcastic presence.  He was behind one of these doors. 

Zane POV

Zane the pain is increasing.

I KNOW! I CAN FEEL IT!!!!

Is this what nearly dead people think of?

SHUT UP!!

I'm just asking a simple question.  No need to be crabby. (A/N see the reference :3)

I hate this

No kidding

I never asked you

I know

Then why are you still talking?

You're making me

No I'm not

Zane, you're hallucinating, I'm not real.

I know but you're really annoying me!

You're annoying yourself

Gah!

Kawaii~Chan POV

I slowly creeped around, not having a plan.  I admit that was pretty stupid of me.  I head to the door on the other side of the room to try and find Garroth and Mr. Ro'Meave.
I see Garroth down the hall breaking down doors and peering into rooms.  I waved at him, motioning him to me.
"What's the plan?" I whisper to him.
"You don't have one either?" He whispered back.
I look at the cage again, "G-Garroth? Zane isn't the only one in the cage."

Garroth POV

I quickly poke my head around the corner.  When she said that I thought someone was going to hurt him.
"Oh thank Irene, it's only Vlyad," Garroth sounded pleased as I raised my eyebrow, "WAIT WHAT?! VLYAD TOO?!"
I rushed in there and didn't care about the plan.  No way was I about to let some guy take both of my brothers, "Hey you! Let my bro-my-gawd!" I was not expecting to see Zach here.

Garte POV

I caught a glimpse of the face as Garroth barged in.  Zach.  There was no way to get Zane and Vlyad out unless I gave him what he wanted.

Anyways this Halloween I will be posting a completed Zane~Chan fanfic  for the holiday.  It's SPOOKtacular!!! So look out for that when it comes out.
