Narrator POV

Zane stared at his eye in disbelief and horror. He worried someone would find out. He also worried that what the demon said was true, would he really lose all control while his demon side took over?

Zane POV

Garroth knocked loudly on the bathroom door, "Do you need help Zane?"
I tried to think of a way to get me more time to think, "N-No. I'm fine, but could you go to the store and get some, uh, cupcakes?"
"Don't we already have cupca-" I cut him off, "Thanks!"
As soon as I heard Garroth leave I relaxed a little. I decided to wash some of my cuts out so it wouldn't look suspicious. I'm supposed to go to the doctors tomorrow morning to get stitches but I don't know how to hide my eye. What if my hair moved and someone saw my eye? What do I do?
By the time Garroth came back I was in our room. He laid out the cupcakes he bought from the store on the table in front of me. I wasn't hungry. Ten minutes go by and I haven't even touched it.
"Zane what's wrong?" Garroth sits down next to me.
"Nothing, I'm fine," I look at Garroth directly in the eye.
"Zane, I'm not an idiot. You have certain tells for when you're lying," He looked concerned.
"N-No I don't," I still stared at him in the eye. I then used my hand to hide the right side of my face.
"Zane. Your tells are that you haven't touched your cupcake, you either make to much eye contact or not enough and your cupping your hand over your face," Garroth was really serious. I had no idea I was so easily understood. My hand still cupped over my right eye underneath my hair. Garroth quickly tried to remove my hand to see what I was hiding.
"Garroth seriously, I'm fine!" This time I was looking down. Gah, why do I do this? Unfortunately, Garroth is way stronger than me and removed my hand from my face. He pushed my hair out of the way and just stared at my eye, "Z-Z-Zane? W-hy is your iris black?"
I had no idea what to say. He could obviously tell when I was lying.
"When I passed out because of exhaustion from the demon, I had a dream vision thing. He was there and told me that he was apart of me and that I could access his powers. He told me that I was him and that I almost killed Na- Kawaii~Chan. He then showed me my eye in a mirror and said that the demon side is spreading, and that it would soon take control completely. When I woke up I raced to see if it was all real or if it was just my imagination," I covered my demon eye with my hair.
"OK, stay calm Zane. You just have to remember that the mind is more powerful than the body." He used his soothing voice, which made things worse, "I'll get Dad to help us. In the meantime just stay calm, you'll be alright as long as your calm."
I lashed out, "Calm. CALM! HOW CAN I STAY CALM WHEN I CAN TURN TO A FLIPPIN' DEMON!?!" With, just the wave of my hand, Garroth went flying into a bunch of bookcases which broke. Books and shelves landed on his head. I hadn't even touched Garroth, I was losing control. I stared at my hand with a panicked eye. I was going to hurt everyone I cared about.

Garroth POV

I never expected this. I thought he just had another bad cut or something like that. My head and back were soar from hitting the bookcases. I stood up but didn't move any closer to Zane. I could see tears rolling down. He looked alarmed and scared.
"Dad!" I called out for him.
I could hear footsteps hurrying down the stairs to our room.
"What!?" he asked frantically. He was a little paranoid that the demon would return.

Zane POV

I lifted my hair up to show him my eye.
"The demon side is spreading. He's apart of me and I have access to his powers and whenever I lose control I'll end up hurting someone," I talked very quickly as if I was racing my bad side, "I can't control it."
