Zane looked at the cage he was trapped in, "Where are we?" Vlyad looked at his big brother but kept his mouth shut. "Vlyad? Where are we?" Zane tried again but Vlyad just looked down, "VLYAD!" Vlyad quickly shushed Zane,"Shhhhh! He'll be back any minute. He doesn't like us..." Zane gave him a puzzled look and turned when he heard footsteps. The man had copper skin and black hair. It was Zach, Aphmau's dad, "Well hello Zane. I was told that you were coming. Perfect, I needed more bait."
Zane POV
BAIT!?!?!! Dang this has been a horrible day. Zach hated my family because Dad is friends with Derek. It isn't fair, I didn't do anything. I saw something shiny on Zach's wrist. I felt like I've seen it before. Then I had a flash back...
Flashback to Zane at age 4
"Hey Zane, I want you to check this out," Zach showed Zane the watch as he stared in amazement, "This watch is very special to me. I can control people with demon blood and the ones they love; family, friends, love interests." Zane touched the watch and it burned. He quickly pulled his finger away, "Owie! That hurt!" "Oh little Zane, I will use this one day for a very important job. You can't interfere with it now. Later on, you will see this again and won't be able to do anything about it," Zach got up and left Zane to play with Aphmau and his brothers.
Zane POV
I forgot all about that watch. He used it to control the people close to me. I felt my eyes widen. Now I was being used as bait, had a demon in me and controlled by someone who hates me. I looked at Vlyad who had bruises all over his arms. I could tell he was scared.
Vlyad POV
I just wanted to go to Italy then I get stuck in this place. Zach was powerful before but now he has more than any experienced witch. I just watched Zane glare at Zach. I saw a green light emit from Zach's hand. It got closer and closer, warmer and warmer. I froze.
Zane POV
Zach smirked at me, "You know, controlling isn't all this thing can do," he started forming a green fire ball. Once it was big he threw it at Vlyad. I tripped over myself and as I fell my hand shot black smoke at Vlyad. The smoke hit and threw him out of the fireball's way. I looked up at Zach who looked as shocked as I was. Questions flooded my mind. Why did the demon magic help me save Vlyad? Was I controlling the demon magic? Where did Zach get that watch? Who cursed me with the demon side, and was it really a curse or a blessing? I scrambled to my feet and helped Vlyad up.
Vlyad POV
What happened?! Zane has powers too? And he saved me, I never thought that would ever happen.

A/N: Heyyy guys! Thanks for reading this far and I promise there will be more Zane~Chan moments soon. I already have the whole story in my head and trust me when I tell you that the significant Zane~Chan parts come up later on. I'm really excited to finish this fan fic, it has been so fun to write and come up with. Please comment what you think of it so far. BTW...
