Zane POV
Were my eyes playing tricks on me? I was told that Nana was dead! I saw Nana and Garroth rush to me and help me up. As soon as they let go I started wobbling and felt dizzy. Then back on the floor I went. They picked me up again but this time keeping my arms around their shoulders for balance.
"Zane, you need to be happy. You have to get rid of all the bad energy and replace it with the good. He'll only get stronger with the bad energy inside you," Garroth lectured me.
I couldn't believe him, he made me feel so much "bad energy" as a kid that I can't get rid of it, not to mention I was still in pain.
"You're kidding right? You of all people should know that I cannot simply get rid of bad energy. Not when you gave me all of the hateful emotions as a kid that stuck with me! Oh and let's not forget that you threw a snowball at my eye, causing it to go blind! Yeah, let me just think of the good childhood memories and forget all about the bad ones!" OK, OK, can you really blame me for lashing out? Garroth is the worst at making me feel better, he doesn't understand what it's like to be me.
Vlyad POV
I woke up still stuck in the cell and feeling pain in every aspect of my body. I heard that black magic hurt, but I never knew it felt like death.
Wait, where's Zane and Zach? And why is the cell door op- my Irene!!!
I raced out of the cage and to Dad who was lying on the ground. I was so confused about what happened, and wasn't exactly sure if I wanted to know. I got down on my knees and checked for a pulse.
