Beauty and the Beast

Garroth POV

I'm really worried for Zane. Last time we used the sapphire ball, Zane was in lots of pain for weeks. I felt like it was my fault Zane lives with a demon. Dad doesn't know how the demon came but I do. When we were younger I made a wish in a wishing well that Zane would be thought of as a monster. I guess the saying, careful for what you wish for, is true. I thought that he wouldn't make more friends than me, I didn't expect that a demon would live inside.

Narrator POV

Garte held the ball tightly in his hands and walked closer to Zane's demon. Garte stepped on a piece of glass with his shoe and it made a loud crunch. The demon jolted its head and stared at Mr. Ro'Meave.
He smiled at Garte who still had the ball in his hands, "Garte, are you trying to get rid of me?" The demon asked rhetorically.
The demon's smoke grabbed the ball from Garte and smashed it. Swirls of black smoke came out and absorbed onto the demon, making it more powerful.
The demon glanced at a potion then threw one at Garte.

Garte POV

I couldn't move, I was frozen in place. How do we stop that monster?

Aphmau POV

I have an idea but it's not a good one. Kawaii~Chan would be at risk of getting hurt.
"Kawaii~Chan I have a plan but something bad could happen to you." I tell her.
"Whatever it is, I'll do it." Kawaii~Chan agreed.
I told everyone that Zane would never hurt Kawaii~Chan and that he might fight for control with the demon.
Mr. Ro'Meave seemed confused, "Why her? And how come Zane won't hurt Kawaii~Chan?"
"Because they're dating. You didn't know?" Garroth chimed in.
"What?! Zane, is dating?! What about you Garroth, so you have a girlfriend?" Mr. Ro'Meave questioned.
Garroth shook his head, then Mr. Ro'Meave fainted. I didn't entirely blame him, I thought Garroth would find a girlfriend long before Zane.
"Kawaii~Chan, if you get close enough then you can kiss him. Hopefully true love will bring Zane back." I hope the plan works because otherwise we lose Zane and Kawaii~Chan.

Kawaii~Chan POV

I agreed to the plan, even though it was very possible that it wouldn't work.
I walked to one end of the big room. I yelled and got the demon's attention. He smiled demonically, landed on the floor and slowly walked towards me with a potion. I was scared, this wasn't Zane. My life flashed before my eyes.
"Zane please. I know your in there. Take control, please!" My eyes started tearing up.
It wasn't working and began to lose hope.
Once he was close enough, I put my hand on his cheek and kissed him. He stopped and I could tell that Zane was back.

Zane POV

I don't remember what happened before but I was glad to be back. Nana kissed me and I got control of my body again. But I was really weak from fighting Michi and whatever the demon used my body for. I only remember being kissed for a couple seconds before I passed out.

Kawaii~Chan POV

I was so worried when Zane fainted but Garroth came over to me, "He'll be fine. Zane is just weak, exhausted and overwhelmed. He just needs to rest."
